This is a small aquarium with the addition of penguins, seals and sealions and a reptile house. I would say it's two hours maximum if you see the feeding. Everything seemed well presented, clean and the animals healthy, which is always my number one priority with these places. There is a decent size gift shop, a small cafe and plenty... More

The Bergen Aquarium is a must-see, if you are visiting Bergen with kids. As a local, I will recommend that you time your visit to include one of the feedings of the seals and/or sea lions. That is great fun for the minors and also for the grown-ups.

We were out a bit late on Friday, we arrived 45 minutes before closing time. But a very nice man let us two in for the price of one. We got to see a sea lion show, the penguins and all of the other animals. And all of the snakes etc. were moving. That's unusual! Very cool! And! We even... More

Not that expensive in Norwegian terms and small enough to be manageable for younger children who need a morning out but not an all-day drag-around. The staff were nice when we went, but it's not going to fire you up in terms of conservation or excitement. It is small and fairly old-fashioned. The seal show was good and didn't last... More

the price and the experience just did not add up. 250 NOK, or 31 euro to enter a mediocre "museum" is just not good enough. I guess the thought behind it all is well - but the communication is just not good enough. The targetgroup is for children and thus the information given is just lame. Im also sad to... More

This is not the world's most fancy aquarium, rather it is an old one. But it is a great place with kids. They can watch and touch and enjoy sea creatures. I know it sounds terribly standard, but I think if you go with smaller kids you'll like it.

Looking at some other reviews, we nearly didn't go but we would've missed out. Firstly, the last time I went to a similar place in the UK, it cost nearly £20 for an adult - so £25 for an adult is not bad by Norway's prices. In the winter, you can also get in free with a Bergan card -... More

Nice, and good for family's. But expensiv. The child had fun, and that's what its all about. Wish they had more fish, and less snakes;)

Bergen Aquarium is a very nice place. Tickets can be expensive for some people, but on the other hand is with to see some of this amazing and beautiful animals. We spend there almost 3 hours.

Bergen Aquarium is good for families. The variety of aquatic mammals, fish, birds (i.e., penguins), and reptiles is somewhat limited, although the presentation is good. Best is the walk- through tank, with fish swimming by (and over) you. Kids will like it. Adults without kids with them could skip it...
