For the high price you pay to get in this place should be much better. The sea-lion show was ok but those poor sea lions were in such a tiny pool. The penguin pool wasn't much better. Inside there are reptiles and monkeys, oddly, but the children were loving it. The fishy stuff downstairs again was a bit tired and... More

As we had free entry with our Bergen cards we decided to visit. We walked down from the town centre following the harbour side on the way down which was interesting but more commercial. You can't miss the Aquarium as it is at the end of the road. There seemed to be doing some work when we were there so... More

Make sure you see the seal and sea lion shows. They are funny and interesting, and saying this as a total outsider to the trade, it seems that the animals enjoy them... But then you never know. Apart from the shows, the fish exhibitions are good. Maybe there isn't enough English translation, only a couple of senences at most. Not... More

The seal show was really entertaining, the trainers are very informative and handle the wide life with care. The aquarium had a good array of sea life, and is a good place to spend if you have a few hours to spare.

To be honest - we did not even bother visiting the Bergen Aquarium after our experience at the entrance to this attraction. The cashier at the entrance till was so incredibly rude (no greeting, no information - in fact, he only managed to speak one word with us during our 'conversation') that we just couldn't be bothered to pay nearly... Bergen Aquarium is by no means the world's biggest or best attraction of its kind but is definitely worth a visit. The Sea Lions, Seals and Penguins are in outdoor enclosures and various feeding times are arranged during visiting hours. Inside it is split into three distinct sections. The first features creatures from the north Atlantic and Norwegian Sea -... More

Since it was November when we visited, the aquarium was free with the Bergen card. If it wasn’t free, we may not have paid the entrance fee. It might be one of the most expensive aquariums we have seen, and one of the smallest. My son is an animal encyclopedia. I am convinced that he is going to run a... More

All the advertisements for this state it is open seven days a week. So, as most museums are shut on Mondays we wen there then. This involved waiting in the rain for a bus which runs once an hour. When we got there - it was shut. This also disappointed other people. we had ot walk back to the cross-harbour... More

My husband was set on the aquarium because his friend that lived in Bergen recommended it. We had fun, but this is mainly for kids. There was a very friendly sea lion, and another one that had a shifty eye. It made our day. We just walk from our hotel. From the Bryggen is about 20-30 minutes walk depending if... More

Ok for a basic aquarium. Was quite surprised at the cost though, even with a bergen card. Highlight was the seal show - if you missed this there isnt much else. Its ok couple of hours, but not a huge amount to see.
