Coming by ship down the fjord to flaam on a sunny day in late may 2012 is truly one of the top 7 natural wonders of the world. The fjord is gorgeous surrounded by high granite mountains with multiple huge waterfalls Cascading into the fjord .the mountains all have snow on the top .we walked through the village up to... More

If you travel to Norway there are a few things you must see and do. No trip would be complete without a trip from Flam to Mydral on the Flam Railway. It's honestly just a wonderful experience and a must see More

We booked a roundtrip from Bergen at the Tourist Information Center in Bergen, which included the boatride to Flåm, the Flåm train to Myrdal, and the return to Bergen from Myrdal on the regular train: well worth the cost if the weather's nice. Ignore the fact that Flåm is one big tourist shop and concentrate on the landscapes and the... More

Recently took the Flam railway to its terminus at Myrdal. The ride moves along at a reasonable speed which enables you to enjoy the amazing scenery below - waterfalls, lush green villages, remote farm houses etc. Before reaching Myrdal it stops at the Kjosfossen Waterfall for a few minutes photo opportunity. I don't think that Myrdal has much to offer... More

The Flam Railway journey lasts for about an hour and the scenery is simply amazing. They stop whilst photos can be taken at the Kjos waterfall. Amazing! More

We took the train cross country from Oslo, happily it lead us to the -Flam Rail. The views are nice, the incline is a wonder. The train stops for a PICTURE moment at the waterfall - the design of the track due to the incline is of interest... This train took us to a boat to Bergen - there we... More

Really enjoyed it. Hiked down from Myrdal to Flam, the first 45 minutes to an hour was really snowy and the path was covered, but luckily some other guy hiked there before us and we followed his footsteps! The hike ended up taking 4.5 hours, and we had really great views. If you are physically active I recommend hiking or... More

We had a nice trip return from Flam to Myrdal. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good. We had very low clouds, mist and a lot of snow (which was nice). We couldn't see much of the wonderful views we were hoping to see :) We'll do it another time More

Very picturesque train ride from Oslo to Flam with breathtaking views. Mountains, waterfalls, beautiful scenery, you have it all. Flam is very small but worth staying overnight. Rent a bike and explore the surroundings and then take the boat to Bergen. Amazing experience! More
