Recently took the Flam railway to its terminus at Myrdal. The ride moves along at a reasonable speed which enables you to enjoy the amazing scenery below - waterfalls, lush green villages, remote farm houses etc. Before reaching Myrdal it stops at the Kjosfossen Waterfall for a few minutes photo opportunity. Hiked down from Myrdal to Flam, the first 45 minutes to an hour was really snowy and the path was covered, but luckily some other guy hiked there before us and we followed his footsteps! Very picturesque train ride from Oslo to Flam with breathtaking views. Mountains, waterfalls, beautiful scenery, you have it all. Flam is very small but worth staying overnight. Rent a bike and explore the surroundings and then take the boat to Bergen. Amazing experience! More
