Maybe this has been mentioned before, but the morning Mostraumen cruise does not go around the island as you might expect. The route shown on most adverts clearly shows the cruise route to go around the island. The morning cruise goes to a point and comes back the same way - how boring and disappointing! I complained to a staff... More

We wanted to experience cruising in the fjords whilst staying in Bergen. This trip to the Osterfjord is probably not the most spectacular but the experience was pleasant and it was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Get there early to ensure a seat by the window. Take warm clothes to stand on deck for some of the trip.... More

I took the 3.5 hour ride to the mostraumen. I did quite a lot of boat trip and cruise in my Norway trip so far so even if this was nice I must say this is far from being the best one so far. The view was pretty but the fjord is pretty wide and while riding in the dead... More

While there are many ways to explore the Fjords (by speed boats and private tours), this is by far the cheapest way and it gives y out an unbelievable experience. People oftentimes complain that the boat is "too slow" and it's a 3.5hrs for a relatively quick nice view at the end of the voyage. It's geography: Bergen is not... More

The cruise is smooth, the boat is small and the scenery is spectacular. The on-board service was perfect and there is access to rain shielding on top as well as available open air seating. The ride in the bow section was quite nice as well. Recommend for sure!

The fjordcruise was just an average cruise experience through some fjords, it was not at all worth the price that we paid. The good scenery comes after the point where the cruise turns and its better to take a cruise that goes there as well (for the same price). It was too boring during the return journey and they were... More

Nice fjords cruise with typical Norwegians villages, glaciers and fjord scenery. Boat commentary and mapping could be more specific. Receiving a small map of our passage would have been very helpful rather than episodic commentary. Cornball touches including playing Grieg Music should be kept to a minimum. That said, scenery was spectacular and gave a very good idea of the... More

I left from Bergen on the 3.5 hour cruise that goes around Osteroy. It was well worth the money. Along the way, I got to see many different waterfalls. You can sit on the top deck (where you may get rained on) or inside, blocked off from the weather. It was nice to have different options. My only "complaint" is... More

We really enjoyed our half day trip to the end of the fjord. It is increasingly spectacular the deeper you go, with steep cliffs and waterfalls alongside small isolated farms. Lovely.

If you only have a weekend in Bergen and have a few hours it is worthwhile taking the 3 hour cruise to Mostraumen. It is on a high speed catamaran but slows once it is in the narrow water passages and allows passengers to take photos. You go past some lovely hamlets and waterfalls. Very scenic trip and would thoroughly... More
