Discovered this tiny coffee bar hidden in back streets on way walking back into town from funicular railway trip to Mount Floyen - great coffee & fantastic carrot cake with lime

We are now regular visitors to Bergen, so keen to find good coffee bars. This is conveniently located, close to Funicular. It is quite small and cosy, and not the sort of place that should be clogged up with long duration MacBook users. (Although they do have wi-fi, I believe). There are some interesting bottled drinks, and at least one... More

Such a cosy cafe to read a book or the paper before/after hiking up Mount Floyen. The staff were wonderful, coffee was good and food was great! I was hungry and wanted something savory so I ordered a slice of toast with cheese and pesto (the only savory item they have) and it was heavenly! I didn't think something so... More

A perfect way to start or cap your trip up the funicular to Mount Floyen. It's located right behind it. Have a cup of their filtered coffee with a slice of carrot cake. Yum!

I've been several times in this cafe, I have to tell, this is the best in Bergen. I've tried several cafes here in Bergen and this is the only place where they make coffee professionally. Anyone who likes coffee must visit this place!:)

I remember this charming place from studying in Bergen 15 years ago, and to my surprise it was still there when we came down from Fløien! Really nice coffe and bread of the day (2 slices of bread with brie or white cheese and chutney or pesto) for 80 Nok, not bad!

Located just behind the fløien funicular station downtown, a little coffee shop "DLK" also serving other warm and cold drinks and delights (try the refreshing yoghurt with muesli, some of the cakes or brie on special bread). The place is very small and inversely charming. Lately taken by new owners who kept the spirit but improved the service and friendliness.... More

If you find yourself in Bergen on a Sunday, you'll first be drawn towards the immensely pretty waterfront. From this pleasant vantage point you look around, the harbour, lined with people in boats, which mere mortals can look wistfully at the well healed skippers manning their floating private bars. You'll see the Bryggen in all it's quaintness, then you'll see... More

If you are looking for an original place to visit while in Bergen, you need to go here! The place is hidden behind/on the side of Fløybanen, and only a small sign on the wall shows the way. I had a lovely cup of coffee here. You can also buy one of the delicious-looking cakes and have a quiet sit-down.... More
