We was just walking around a bit, and instead of walking past we went in. Not much to see, but it's okay to have been there. It's a kind off thing that is been there done that. Noting more nothing less.

We walked the grounds of this small fortress as part of our self-guided walking tour of Kristiansand. While the history of the fortress is very interesting, it certainly isn't of the caliber of other fortresses such as the large fortress in Oslo. Regardless, it's worth a visit and a stroll around the grounds. The scenery alone is worth the visit.

This i a circular stone fortress intended to defend Kristiansand from possible enemies. You walk to the top on a circular wakway. It has 8 bronze cannons facing the sea. From the top floor you will have a nice view of the sea. Today it is used for cultural and other events, it can also be rented for private festivities.... More
