We checked the website and discovered a free Sunday afternoon show at 430pm, perfect after a day's sightseeing . The band started with "Jamaica farewell" which contrasted wintery Oslo with a tropical feel. Eclectic mix of songs including John Lennon and other classics was great to hear in the Cosy bar drinking cider to warm up. Nice walk through graffitied... More

Came here with a friend on our last night in Oslo last year, there's a cool friendly atmosphere and it's easy to get to know people around. The music was really good and there was loads of different stuff going on on the stage and everyone seemed like they were having a lot of fun playing which is good to... More

... From a place this famous. In this cool neighborhood with all the graffiti, I had great expectations about this place. But the place is pretty small and I kind of feel I am in a bunker. But it's easy to get to know new ppl, and on Sunday they play amazing jazz. So I'll come again one day :)

If you would like to see some of Oslo that is not geared to temporary tourism, the area where Blaa is located is just right. Akerselva river, and the surroundings is more genuine Oslo and more relaxed. Blaa itself is an outdoor restaurant by the river good for winding down or enjoying an evening under the lights.

We went there on Sunday afternoon because we read about some kind of free gig. The Frank Znort Quartet played shortly at 4pm and it was very cool. We really enjoyed it and decided to return at night time for the real gig, still for free. The band is great, they played different styles, and several instruments. Just cool. In... More

Favourite bar in Oslo! Great to have a tea and listen to some live music at the afternoon and great to hangout with friends at night. Love it!

Nothing special, just a small market.. I was thinking of finding something typical (Norwegian) to bring home but nooothing! So, If you have plenty of time it can be nice but If you're in a hurry don't spend time on Blå, there are lots of better activities in Oslo, trust me

Blå is the best place to hang out in Oslo in the summer. Sundays are especially good, but try to be there before 8 pm to avoid long lines. Great atmosphere outside by the river “Akerselva”, and fantastic music by Frank Znort Quartet inside. The crowd is mixed with many international travelers.

It's kind of places I can easily fall in love. Urban. Young. Wild. Been there two times and enjoyed it! Music was great, people were kind, what else do you need for good night? Hardly recommended!

There is a free entry on Sundays for the concert and then clubbing with good alternative music. Don't miss it.
