Vineland park is a monument to one man, Gustav Vigeland, who's sculptures on the life of man are simply "jaw dropping", both regarding their detail, but the sheer volume of this man's work. It is free admission and you could spend hours there, but you could also just make a quick 30-40 minute stop and walk from the street all... More

The park was a beautiful place filled with wonderful sculptures, beautiful flowers and a lovely place just to relax. We stopped for a snack and took photos of statues that reminded us of friends or family members. We also enjoyed watching people picnic on the grass and play catch with their dogs. Such a nice place to chill.

Loved it! The park was a stop on our bike tour of Oslo with Viking Biking. We had time to wander among the statues and try to understand what the artist had been thinking!

I agree with the other reviews - great space, great art. The walk from the centre to the park is also really interesting. It's about twenty. I uses but the apartment houses and little shops are really interesting to look at. I would avoid going to this park during the really busy times, especially If you want to take pictures... More

Plan plenty of time for a tour of this awesome park. The day we were there it rained like crazy but we didn't care because the park was so inspiring. The artwork looks at life, from birth to death, but each side of the pathway shows a different view of life based on how you choose to live your life.... More

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area. Its a great place to go, and worth seeing. The statues are really beautiful so lots of photo opportunities and a great way to spend some outdoor time while in the city. The open top bus stops at the park gates.

Interesting sculpture park with fountains and rose beds....Lovely to amble through and imagine the vision this man had of the life cycle. A beautifully kept garden with rose beds and the fountains all maintained.. The statues ( some 200 plus) are sculptured of granite tower above you as you walk on to the main part, which has the well photographed... More

I had planned to see this park when I went to Oslo and I was not disappointed. The park is beautiful on it's own, and the sculptures are amazing. The artist has captured so many human emotions with his statues, good and bad. Spend a little time really looking at them, it's really wonderful. It was a beautiful sunny day... More

Sometimes the sculptures seem to convey a whole emotion, and other times they appear to be a collection of body parts. It’s a beautiful park and the sculptures, like them or not, are quite captivating to see individually and as a collection. We didn’t have time for the museum or even to read much about it before going. We had... More
