Pictures do not even begin to do this place justice. Go. Absolutely go. It's a little hard to find, but don't give up! It is well worth it. I spent so much time here because I couldn't pull myself away. The place is beautiful and the sculptures are just...well, go and see for yourself.

Our day tour of Oslo included an hour stop at Vigeland Park. Okay, a park with sculptures, I am sure it's pretty and it will be nice to stroll through a park on such a beautiful day, I was not expecting what I would see in the next hour. The park is magical. It's filled with story telling sculptures by... More

It's a must see objective in Oslo. It's a little creepy, but very expressive. You can feel the sadness, the rage, the protection expressed in and by the sculptures. You can in the sculptures the pure feelings of the mankind, without any clothes.

Astonishing art work, very impressive and easy to get to by public transportation. We spent hours there and if you are a photographer, be prepared for some amazing shots.

Of the three national capitals on our Scandinavian tour, I allotted the least number of days for Oslo. This was fine with me because I know that Norway's most beautiful attractions are to the west and north of the country. With this limited time I planned essentially three must-see attractions in Oslo: the viking ship museum, the opera house, and... More

The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's (11 April 1869 – 12 March 1943) lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland was also in charge of the design and architectural layout... More
