The have a lot of weird sculptures that are considered art by people who can se some kind of symbolism in something that's not remotely connected to each other. But it's a nice park to kickback in with some friends and sushi on a sunny day!

I couldn't stop taking photos of the art or the people in the park. I suggest you go on a beautiful day as it is all outdoors. There is an indoor museum that is small but full of interesting Oslo history. I can't wait to visit again.

The park is nicely situated near the Oslo city center. The city overview from the far end is really stunning and the Vigeland's statues?! That's an interesting and entertaining show carefully put on a display.

If you are in a hurry and don’t have time to visit all main attractions of this capital city, this park is one of the places that shouldn’t be missed. I was there in summer quite a long time ago and even the crowds of tourists didn’t put me off- this celebration of human bodies is truly fascinating! We finally... More

We walked through the park and followed the commentary from Rick Steves' Scandinavia tour book. Excellent way to spend an hour.

I loved that Oslo was full of art everywhere you look. I also paid to go to the Vigeland Museum, which I did not like as much as the free sculptures you can enjoy in the park. A great place for a picnic if it's warm enough!

We toured this sculpture garden with a group and a guide who gave us a bit of background on the sculptor and some of the sculptures. It was beautifully laid out so we never felt crowded, even on a June day in tourist season. The human figures looked so lifelike yet concrete-looking. Our guide wondered about his use of so... More

A lovely location to spend an hour or two. Have lunch on one of the seats. We took the 13 tram from the Ibsen museum (buy tickets at any 7-11 - day tickets last 24 hours and are better value if you do at least 3 trips). It was hot on the day so we didn't spend too long admiring... More

Don't go with a bus tour like we did. We were rushed through there in 30 minutes and had inadequate time to view and reflect on most sculptures. It is a world famous sculpture park containing significant works by on man. Located in a lovely outdoor garden park with no facilities inside. This is a place to go and enjoy... More
