This park is a jaw-dropping place, with beautiful, sometimes bizarre sculptures of human figures in all their glory, from infants to the very old, from lovers to families to women being seduced by sea monsters. It's also a lovely place just to stroll. It's a bit of a ways out of the center of town -- you can walk it... More

How can a sculpture be lively? Take a look at this park with its 500 sculptures, many of which are in very athletic poses. Well worth your time.

I have done a fair amount of traveling and I would have to stay this is my favorite park in the world. The sculptures and flowers are amazing. Each sculpture I found really captivating and there were 216 of them. The flowers were gorgeous. There were also many beautiful walking trails, a cafe, and a dog park off in the... More

The main reason we came here was that it was the number 1 rated attraction. I think we would have enjoyed it more had we been sculpture lovers. But as we were rather unknowledgeable, I would have really have valued some more explanation of what it was that we were seeing. Its a nice park, and a great sculpture exhibit,... More

We visited Vigeland while on a Baltic Cruise. We bought tram tickets from the 7/11 behind the City Hall, paid by credit card, & as we were seniors the tickets only cost NK30 return - £3 each. Tram drivers were very helpful. Short walk from tram stop to park. Wonderful sculptures & very attractive lay-out. Well worth the effort.

This is one place you should see, there is a lot of different kind of sculptures to see. Walking around the park was nice and you can also go for a picnic there if you like to.

This was a great park and a must see in Oslo. The Hop on Hop Off goes right to the front gate. The grounds are almost as interesting as the statues.

A must see....do not miss! Very easy to get to on the tram. Just ask at your hotel which line to take. It's free and I would have paid to see this park!

This gorgeous sculpture park is a must-see when visiting Oslo even if you're not a sculpture person. Entry is free. It can be done quickly if you're short on time but it really is worth spending some time there, if possible. It's quite special.
