I have been lucky with the weather 22ºC and really sunny, so my experience in Vigeland Park was awesome: picnic, people playing in the park and outside the park there are always this stalls where you can buy Norwegian waffles. It is quite big if you are already tired, but it is worth it. It is not only a park... More

I have never seen so many naked statues in my life, and I can see why this park was once considered controversial, but they are amazing pieces of art. At the highest point in the park is The Monolith, a sight to behold. 46 feet high carved out of a single block of stone, it consists of 121 figures and... More

Park is huge with an array of sculptures by Vigeland. It is a quiet place where one can spend an entire afternoon just wandering around and enjoying the many sculptures.

We visited in early May and because the weather had been unusually cold the grounds surrounding the sculptures were not visually attractive. The sculptures were worth a visit in spite of the cold weather. Plenty of opportunities for the photographer. The best part of this attraction is that it is free.

Easy to get to by public transport, this park is an amazingly beautiful place filled with Vigeland's sculpture. First time we went early in the morning on a rainy Saturday. The place was filled with "tour bus tourists" busy listening to their own voice and taking pictures of no redeeming values. But it was still a magical place filled with... More

A great place to spend some hours, or a whole day. On a beautiful day the park is incredible and vibrant with life, winter or summer. A kind of ambient I think goes for people with a lot of different interests, it being playing a game, sunbathing, taking a walk, going out with the kids, with the parents - or... More

Lovely park, full of Vigeland's sculptures to admire and enjoy, especially in the morning hours. The main alley leads you through to the other end. The park is open 24 hours.
