We took the behind the scenes Oslo Opera House tour. It was well worth it. We toured the rooms where they make the costumes, props, the different stages, etc. There was a competition for the design of the Opera House. Everything about the design of the building, inside and out, was designed for a certain purpose. They wanted the Opera... More

This building is really something! Really beatiful on the inside and stunning on the outside... Go to the rooftop and feel the "breeze" of the city! :)

I go regularly to ballets and operas here. It’s a stunning place with extraordinary architecture. You can even have dinner at an excellent gourmet restaurant, or eat at a French/Norwegian Brasserie with outdoor seating too. A must when in Oslo.

Do visit this beautiful opera House by the sea, made by prizewinning architect firm, Snøhetta. The white Italian marble makes the building stand out, a landmark de luxe. You can walk on the roof, og sit and enjoy the view over the city and sea. Use time both inside and outside. Nice visit both for friends and famililies and friends.

Arrived at 11.30am and a queue was forming outside the Opera House. Apparently it was for the free tickets to the concert at 2pm. anyhow, we got the free tickets and bought tickets to the guided tour. The guided tour was a great decision. The tour brought us to more than just the backstage. we went to the sewing room... More

One of the best spots to enjoy the sunset in Oslo. Shame for norwegians law that don't allow drinking in public spaces otherwise it would be the best place for a romantic glass of wine.

Amazing piece of architecture - some of the best in the world. Well worth a trip. The interior is classic Scandinavian architecture.

It is a piece of very exciting architecture and it is very well situated by the Fjord in Oslo. All white and beautiful. If you have time, sign up for a round inside the Opera (also in English).
