I didn't get into the auditorium itself, but the lobby and exterior of the Opera House is an exceptional experience. The architecture is one of a kind, rivals Sydney in both design and setting. The Oslo Opera House is well worth a visit. The inside, with all the wood, is beautiful. The most spectacular thing is to walk on the roof, however. The weather was perfect for our visit and it was really magical. Please visit!! More

Do not miss a walk on the opera house rooftop. The roof is sculptured like the snow in the Norwegian mountains in february/march. Many small edges and irregularities, which may be dangerous until you learn to watch your step. Very nice view on the fjord as well as on the town. And with luck you may also get a ticket... More
