We had a wonderful time helping train the sled dog pups here. We booked the morning "Puppy Training Session," which turned out to be more thorough and longer than expected--which was great! Becky was our English speaking guide and she did a super job explaining how the dogs are trained and showing us what to do. We got to feed/play/train... More

A lovely place to visit, with lots of friendly huskies! There are several activities available at the Villmarkssenter. We chose Puppy Training and spent about 3 and half hours there. There were many ages of puppies which we could handle and pet, as well as huge numbers of adult huskies that we could pet if we wanted (we did, they... More

We went for a daytime dogsled experience. Everything was well organised from the hotel pick-up right through to the drop-off at the end. There was a great atmosphere, the scenery was beautiful and the dogsled experience was fantastic. There was a short tour at the end which was informative followed by a lunch. A great day out!

I was a little unsure of booking a dog-sledding excursion as friends who had gone with a different company said it was very hard work and a bit frightening. However, they had gone on an evening excursion, they had only one guide with them, and they had been expected to drive the sled themselves without help. At Villmarkssenter, there was... More

This was soooo great. The long track with the nicest alaska siberian huskies. We took the evening dogsledding, it was great. But I think if we took in the afternoon, it would be perfect. Because I couldn't see the surrounding view in the evening *so dark.. I want it moooore!!!

Alexander from Tromso Villmarkssenter had been so kind as too book us for the 5 hour Walk with Husky even if it was not yet season. We had a great time with Torkil who was a terrific guide and a very considerate and nice person too. We loved the dogs and the nature, as well as the lunch we had... More

We came here for dog sledding which we had booked with Hurtigruten as an excursion on our Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen trip. It was absolutely brilliant! Well worth doing and such a great experience. We were there for about 3 hours or more in total if I remember correctly. The setting is beautiful- great views of the mountains and sea. First we got... More

We visited Villmarkssenter Wilderness centre in March 2014 for an afternoon session of dog sledding. Never having experienced snow before visiting Tromso, we were looking forward to this outing. Our young NZ guide was very knowledgeable and was great at explaining everything. By choice, our sledding experience was that of a passenger - not driving the sled, which is what... More
