Description: We started out as a home for dogs in 1988, since then our passion for dogs...
We started out as a home for dogs in 1988, since then our passion for dogs and life in the nature has taken us on an exilerating journey. Today we're one of Tromso's leading tourist destinations with over 300 dogs. Our main tours are with the dogsleds but we also have Northern Lights tours and snowshoe rentals. In the summer we have Kayak trips, a wide range of tours and hikes with our huskies and puppies as well as glacier hikes. We'll provide warm clothes on all our tours to keep you warm while enjoying the Arctic Nature.

The Norwegian Language & Culture class from Agder folkehøgskole visited Tromsø Villmarkssenter mid February 2015. We came early evening, got our own big hut and had a nice gathering with other guests outside around the campfire. We also said hello to the huskys, had a nice evening meal and then we´ve seen the Northern Lights as we again sat around... More

This is the word to get the dos moving as you Mush around the mountains near Tromso. Great guides, the 1 month old puppies were very cute. Great scenery for the trip. Definitely book to have a go at mushing when you book, it is really fun and not that difficult - copy the professional in front. God for, and... More

I had the impression (prejudice) that dog-sledding is overrated but I was completely wrong. That's extremely fun and I would definitely suggest it. It is worth every penny that you pay.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, from meeting the dogs for the first time, going on the amazing dog sledding trip through a winter wonderland to finishing off in our Sami hut with reindeer stew and chocolate cake. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. A very professionally run trip. Thank you for one of the most memorable moments of... More

Super trip out. Fun experience, The dogs are lovely and well looked after. Great coffee and cake and warm up in a hut with a roaring fire. We even got to fuss the puppies. Lovely drive through a beautiful landscape with the huskies loving the run out!

Had a great time - children aged 4 yo - 9 yo loved holding the puppies and being pulled along on the sled.

First The Northern Lights experiences was really good. You can never be guaranteed what you might see. How much nicer to have the possibility to sit by a fire on the side of a snow covered hill and see what happens. Much better than being crammed in a van with people who like to use their cameras without any thought... More

For some one from the tropics this is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. More touristy than we prefer but loved every minute of it. The staff do an amazing job, the dogs are all lovely and very well cared for despite what some other reviews state, and the sled ride was so much fun that you don't... More
