Interesting and nice

It's interesting, but small. You can see some (50 or more) flying and eating everywhere. It' isn't expensive, so, give ir a try. Don't bring a coat.

I could have spent hours in this place of serenity mystified by the behaviours of these beautiful creatures. They weren't shy; a couple even landed on me and fluttered their wings in modest display. Lovely temperature (naturally) which made it a nice escape from the brisk cold of Winter outside. There are some seats so if you like to draw... More

For 6€ each I was expecting more than what we got. There were only a few varieties of butterflies and maybe it was the time of year but I was expecting a larger volume also. The enclosure it's self was was beautiful. Overall while it was a nice experience I think for what you get it's a little pricey.

Having been to a beautiful butterfly garden a few years ago I was really looking forward to this. 6 euros entrance is far too much for what you get. Very few butterflies, only about 3 different ones, and you had to search for them. Small gardens that you could walk round in about 8 minutes. We were probably in there... More

You would think by looking at the Butterfly House from the outside that it would be actually a large place. After spending 30 Euros in entrance fee I again thought well it must be a large place with many butterflies. Wrong! This place is a joke. Unless you've never seen a butterfly I recommend you don't visit this place. We... More

There were easily 50 butterflies of about ten different species fluttering around when we visited the butterfly house. They were very active, especially around the feeding stations, and in the less active moments there's always the fun of peering into the foliage trying to see where they're perched. Between the butterflies and the plants, there are lots of beautiful photos... More

We visited here in October and were disappointed. Maybe it was the time of year, but there were only a handful of butterflies, maybe 3 varieties fluttering around. Price wasn't bad, but there wasn't all that much to see. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Plenty other things to se in Vienna for the money.

The exhibit is quite small, and very humid. Not sure if it was butterfly nap time when we were there, but we saw just a handful of the star attraction, maybe 3 varieties. I think we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. A complete disappointment. Don't go.

To be honest, if you have ever been to a butterfly house before, you know what to expect. It is not very big, it is hot and humid as they always are, but you get to see some lovely examples of butterflies from all over the world. For 2 adults it came in just about £7, so I think it... More

We went to see the butterflies here. They were fluttering all around but beware, it is a green house. It is very warm. Your camera lens will fog up. We enjoyed all the beautiful butterflies, but could not stay long. It was just too hot for us. Worth a look though.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
