Vienna is a beautiful city and parks like this with amazing buildings around them are all over the place. There is a metro centre here as well so it's easy to pop along to.

Vienna is well and truly one of the finest European cities when it comes to manicured gardens that are open for people's enjoyment, and Volksgarten is no exception. The area surrounding the Volksgarten is full of interesting museums, and the garden itself is full of locals relaxing in the afternoon sun, taking in the fountains, flowers and trees.

Really liked a stroll in the park. It had been well kept and it as very pretty. I was surprised how small it was though. A great place to relax as well as lots do people were sitting in the sun on the benches.

This is where my husband and I came to relax after a wonderful bike tour. Not only are the gardens just beautiful but you are surrounded by magnificent buildings all around so you never forget you are in beautiful Vienna.

One of the highlights of our trip to Vienna. Was moderately crowded but absorbed the crowds well. Beautiful formal gardens with tons of roses and rose trees, fountains, sculpture, and unlimited photo opportunities. Hundreds of benches to sit a while, rest your feet, and admire the lacy spires of the Rathaus and Votivkirche towering above the roses and allee of trees.... More

If you're looking for a good morning coffee this is the place to go. Excellent coffee prepared with no hury. I think the challenge is to find a better coffee in Vienna (or any other place). Not that far from center of Vienna. I had a great time with my very good friend Brian. We come again.

It is not a huge garden but nevertheless was a rather pleasant walk amidst other wonderful tourist attractions. Despite the height of summer the flowers bloomed well and the garden offered welcomed respite for weary tourists. One of the great things about Viennese gardens is the ample availability of chairs for weary visitors. The garden offered a lovely way to... More
