One of the best museums in Vienna or even in Europe. It's not directly in the centre (in the Inner City) but it's not far either. The palace is huge, a little bit too monumental (the typical Liechtenstein taste...), the collection is fantastic. The ivory works must be seen and of course the Badminton Cabinet. Take your time!!! At Sundays...

It is definitely one of the main hot-spots for culture in Vienna. It is not located directly within the centre but still easy to reach via tram "D". It is less crowded and a hot tip to get to see extraordinary pieces of art!

We just visited in November, our second time. We regretted that we were not there for a Sunday concert but once more we loved the museum. After we returned home, we learned the museum is closing to the public after the first of the year. This is one of our very favorite museums in Vienna and we will miss it....

I went here as one of the receptions as part of a conference I attended was held here. We had a guided tour which was helpful. The art was fascinating but if you're not into art galleries, find something else to do.
