This church is on a side road visible from the Graben between the St Stephens dome and the road where Demel is... if you pass by too fast you'll miss it. However if you see the picture of the external structure on tripadvisor you will recognise it as you go by.
Once in you will be satisfied with the 1...

This church is very special to me because it is so beautiful and peaceful. It was Vienna's first Christian church and was built at the time when Vienna was still a Roman camp under the name of Vindobona. Peterskirche is in the Baroque style so if you think you've seen it all at gothic Stephansdom, come here anyway as it is quite different. A lot smaller of course and a completely different feel. We happened upon a free concert in this church - what a wonderful surprise. The acoustics in this place are out of this world. The church itself is very beautiful but you must plan your visit around a concert. Not to be missed!

Stumbled in here by accident and probably the most beautiful, small church I have ever seen.
And there was an organ recital on when I went in.
If you do nothing else in Vienna, see this delightful place.

The new church was constructed by Gabriele Montani and Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt. The new church was the first building in Vienna to...

I went to Sunday Mass, and was more than impressed by the music, The large choir and Salon Orchestra almost made me feel as if I was at a concert. After Mass, the organist played solo on the massive instrument, with skill and musicality that I had never before experienced. When he was finished, the congregation broke out into applause,...
