Church had free organ music recital in the evening. The musical selection were a little dirge-like and the bench/pew seemed to slant forward (forcing supplicants to kneel?) The church itself is gorgeous.

There are far better in Europe but when in the center of Vienna it's worth walking through. The did a tasteful job of replacing what I would guess were bombed out stained glass windows.

We slipped into daily Mass at 5pm on a Friday, and the choir was like nothing I've ever heard before. It reminded me of T.S. Eliot's description of mystical transport "You are the music while the music lasts". Check the Mass schedule for the choir and stop in. Even if you're not a Catholic, you'll be blown away.

The exterior is under renovation, but the interior is surprisingly beautiful with many colors coming from the colored windows. Take time to walk to the top (for a small fee), the view is worth it!
