The days I went there were at the end of the year, thus the atmosphere in the place was so nice. Plus, when it is fully lit up, it provides you with even more romantic aspect to your momery. On some occassions, the small hall which you can find at the back side gives you music classic concerts.

Skip the ridiculous crush of humanity at St. Stephens, this church is right around the corner and just as beautiful if not more...walked right in for midnight mass...

Attracted by the sign advertising a free organ recital, we took our places and waited. Plenty of time to study the extremely ornate and lavish decoration and paintings. 'Fraid I had the thought - is all this strictly necessary? Clearly I have missed the point. Music was lovely and the acoustics made the most of it. 'Free' is a moveable... More

Lovely little church off the main shopping walkway. It was Christmas time and we caught a free organ concert there.

One of the most impressive churches we had ever visited both exterior and interior.Statues,Pillars, sculptures create an atmosphere of magnificence and make you travel beyond the reality of human existence.

This church surprised us on entering as the outside gave no indication of what was inside. One of the most beautiful churches we have ever been in so do make sure you go inside.

Went to this place straight after visiting the nearby St Stephen's Cathedral. Exterior is rather unremarkable but interior is beautifully decorated and full of light. Especially liked the amazing frescoes on the dome and the richly ornamented Baroque altars. If you are a fan of Baroque churches, do not miss this place. Entrance is free and sometimes they have concerts... More

Situated in the Old Town very near St Stephens Cathedral, this Baroque style church is not to be missed. There is no entrance fee and the interior is warm, richly impressive and full of light. The church site dates from the Middle Ages and is quite compact. Unfortunately, time did not permit us to stay for the afternoon concert (gratis)... More

We visited St. Peter's church in Vienna for a good friend's wedding last May. It was the most beautiful church I've ever seen. It's very close to Saint Stephan's, but it doesn't have nearly the number of tourists because it has a most simple facade. It is breathtaking. Our friend was married in this church and it was the most... More
