As you walk the streets of vienna you will come across to many beautiful buildings with beautiful architecture and design. However the outside of this church wasn't noticeable as St Rathaus was closed by. Only when you enter the church and listen to its music and the astonished interior design you realise how beautiful Catholic Churches are!!

A wonderful example of baroque architecture and ornamentation. Went to a lovely recital of Mozart Sonata's in the Crypt. Concert 45 mins long and only on Saturday and Sunday.

great place of worship with beautifull art , stand in the midlle of the church and then look up so all the cupola's are forming one continuous ceiling with a pigeon on the highest point . "Opus Dei" calls this place home in Vienna ...

St. Stephen's may be larger and more well known, but don't miss this treasure a couple blocks away. Once you walk inside it definitely has the "wow" factor. In a city full of great architecture and beautiful buildings be sure to stop at St. Peter's.

Beautiful building but as a life long Catholic, I am disgusted and ashamed by the blatant commercialism and use of these churches as profit centers. The new Pope seems committed to change and making the church a people's church. I hope he makes changes in policies at these precious sites.

You can't miss this beautiful domed building, gleaming at the end of the street just off the main avenue. It is even more beautiful inside. There are lovely frescos in the dome ceiling, and the interior is filled with golden stucco. It makes for some great pictures! Don't miss this while you're in Vienna.

Situated just off Graben in the old town a few minutes walk from Stephandom [Cathedral]. An absolutely beautiful Baroque church, one of the finest we have ever seen. It is best admired during Mass when the church is lit up. The acoustics are awesome. The organ has to be heard to be believed – just an incredible sound. Very highly recommended.... More

Gorgeous example of a high baroque church, with unusual configuration under a huge dome. Level of interior detail is just amazing. They don't build them like this any more. You can look inside for free.

It may be the oldest church in Vienna - built in medieval times. As with just about any of the historic buildings in Austria in general, the enormity of the history associated with these facilities is overwhelming. Especially to Americans, whose history seems rather sadly short in light of the splendor of these time graced marvels.

The interior of the church is splendid and as is free to view (please make a donation!). There are also great organ recitals held - check the noticeboard outside the church - they are free with a suggested donation at your discretion for the upkeep of the organ. Be warned - don't expect Bach - some of the compositions may... More
