We visited at night during the Christmas market. We were a bit disappointed, in the Christmas market, Bratislava's is nicer, but St. Peter's is beautiful. It's Europe, it's a cathedral! But the lighting was very nice.

Gorgeous opulence in this busy city center. I spent 10-15 minutes peacefully walking around and enjoying the religious art.

We entered for some minutes and I was impressed by the opulence their churches have (big decorations). There is a copy of the scene "The last supper".

With a large green dome and a narrow façade located off one side of the Graben pedestrian street, the church was created by Montani and Hildebrandt. Inside everything is a symphonie of baroque art, for the visitor who are amateur of such art. I am not, but my girldfriend is. She insisted and I found interesting and worth spending a... More

Thsi chruch is tucked away close by to Stephenplatz and is well worth a short visit. There was a service going on at the time, but you could see how spectacular the whole church was.

I like Baroque, so I found this church lovely. Much warmer and more intimate than St. Stephan's Cathedral down the street. They were having mass when we arrived, so we stood in the vestibule and just took everything in. Between masses, you can wander around as much as you like. There are information booklets in a variety of languages.

Churches never ending to surprise me. This is another masterpiece. Quite smal, but you will end with neck pain of looking so long to the top. Go.

Right in the middle of old Vienna, the interior is ornate. It may look like you have to pay to see the interior, but you do not, unless you want a guide or to climb the tower.

Whatever your itinerary is, you'll pass by this church for sure. Minutes away from St.Stephen's Cathedral, next to the Graben, it adds significance to Vienna's old centre. 2nd oldest church in Austria's capital, it was built after St.Peter's Basilica in Vatican (Rome). Completed in 1733 following the Gabriele Montoni's designs, it was initially consecrated to the Holy Trinity. Finally itt... More
