The Bockshorn is the best irish pub in in town. Nice and friendly atmosphere coupled with great interior and good drinks make this a location I have yet to experience a bad evening in. While not cheap the selection of whisky and beer is quite good. The music is nice and not too loud as in many other bars. The... More

A fantastic and authentic Irish bar in Vienna! Had a great evening in there meeting and talking to people from all corners of the world. The beer selection is great but the staff and patrons are worth going for alone. A must visit! Cheers for the true Irish hospitality and good craic.

Very small irish pub with excellent selection of beers and whiskey. The staff is friendly and service minded.

This place is by far the best Irish pub I've ever stepped in!! Nestled between the fancy shopping streets of Vienna, if you were not aware of this place you can only pray that you stumble across it. Unlike the mythical pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, The Bockshorn does exist and is well worth going in... More

This place does have a nice decoration, for my taste that is. It is too small though, so small that even if you find a spot for yourself you 'll have to be constantly on the move to help people enter or leave the place, or even reach the toilet. Because it's so small and apparently a smoking place, there... More

Very good music, kind service, real cider and ales from the islands and the atmosphere... Austria is still a free country you can smoke in a pub!

What a lovely atmosphere, with good beers... BUT somebody should forbid that smoking inside, because its's disgusting... We would love to stay there for another drink, but that smoke chase us away.

Be sure to visit this pub in your visit in Vienna. Beautifully decorated and small place, with a nice bar and nice beers. It is difficult to find it, so look for a small alley between the pub's address and the pub's entrance.

Dark, smokey, claustrophobic, great music (at reasonable volume) & some great drinks to be drunk, this is exactly my kind of place. It's easy to miss this place off Naglergasse so if it appeals to you make sure you don't miss it. Naglergasse 7 appears to actually be some kind of clothing store. Look for a place called Black Diamond... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
