It is a nice place for a coffee, there is view to the whole center of Vienna and the St.Steven's cathedral. The prices are normal, the service was nice too,but I think that there should be more windows to provide a better view to the city. And it would be better if the balkony was open during winter time too,the view from there is... First, you take a glass elevator to the top floor and then another elevator to the Sky Bar. Beautiful little restaurant/bar. We simply had a glass of wine and enjoyed the view. The staff was wonderful. The ambiance was wonderful. You can see the top of St Stephen's cathedral from there.

A wonderful place to take in a breathtaking view of Vienna. Excellent service, good food & reasonably priced drinks. We booked ahead to ensure a table by the window. Wonderful!

We parked our rental Jaguar below the Vienna opera and walked down the Kaerntnerstrasse (named after Carinthia, the most beautiful province of Austria) towards St. Stephen's cathedral. On the way we took the elevator up to Skybar, where we had lunch enjoying the terrific view of St. Stephen's and over Vienna, former capital of the Austrian Hungarian empire. We enjoyed... More

We went there to celebrate my birthday and got absolutely disappointed about the service, the food and ...even the view. I have never ever, in my whole life, seen such a rude waiter. Do not know the name but he was looking like Indian or something close to this. That guy spoiled my day completely. About the food - did... More

No smiles... You feel that you are unwanted here, even if prices are higher then in other bars/caffees. Staff seems to be overworked => bad management I recommend: don't go there...

Horrible service. Even in an empty bar, you have to wait half an hour until you bring your order. In the bar has not nuts, just homemade potato chips. The only reason to come here - a top view of St. Stephen's Cathedral

Good drinks if you can afford to wait. Advised senior waiter about delay, he made our waiter apologize and offered us free drinks. We had waited patiently for 25 minutes, packed up and left! Don't waste your time!

The view from this bar is nice and the food was tasteful. Unfortunately, staff was not very attentive and we were charged 6 euros for 4 small pieces of 'complimentary' bread that we did not ask for. Luckily we enjoyed the view!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
