I'll start by caveating that I actually won overall at this casino, so my review has nothing to do with the typical people who lose and try to blame it on the casino. I live in Brussels but travel almost every week for work so have been to my fair share of casinos in Europe, and this one is by... More

walking distance from the Stephansdom, great place to go after a romantic dinner, with 27 Euro entry, they gave us 30 Euro chips to play with, or other option was sort of credit card with the credit for slot or electronic roulette machines, and was a no problem to swap them for the other option friendly and helpfull staff

if you enjoy gaming in casinos that want you to have fun this is not it. Lower minimum tables on first level were one table for blackjack that was four deep people waiting to play and only two roulette tables three deep waiting to play. Upstairs tables higher minimums. No fun. Also you have to pay up front a cover... More

Dear Edward D, thank you very much for your feedback - we are very sorry that you did not enjoy that much your visit at Casino Wien. Please give us the chance to explain the situation: At the moment the 2nd floor is completely under construction (except our restaurant, which is already modernized). And in the course of these constructions... More

Casino Vienna is definately worth a visit. Usually you pay 27€ and become 30€. I went there to celebrate my birthday and got many specials. 30€ worth of coins for 20€, a free bottle of frizzante, and a "Glückscard" for free. The Casino has a dress code (f.ex. men need a nice jacket and clean clothings). I highly recommend to... More

Rude personnel and visitors. Visitors smoke inside the casino. The security is impolite too. Only one roulette table. So, if you want to play there you should wait at least 10 minutes. Don't waste your time and money for this 'casino'. Find another place...

They didn't honor the deal of paying 27 Euro and getting 30 worth in chips as was advertised and as many reviewers are mentioning. They said we had to come back for a second time to get this. The casino was a complete waste of time and money. A "jacket" is required for men (not on the first floor) but... More

Let's get the obvious out of the way. If you are traveling from the U.S. you have come to expect a very particular type of casino. You will not find that "American" casino in Europe (at least in my experiences). So far I have tried casinos in Ireland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary and finally now Austria. Out of all of... We know the vegas casinos and love them, but we also love the european style and elegance. That's why we enjoyed the Casino Wien. Although we wanted to play Poker but there wasn't enough demand so there were no games, we enjoyed hanging out the roulette tables and playing. There is a dress code for men if you want to... More

Minimum bet at the table is 5 euro, during the week there are no poker games since the casino is empty so you can only play slot machines and table games such black jack. Most imortantly- there is a buy in for 27 euro, and even though you get 30 euro in welcoming chips ,you can't return them in order... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
