The key attraction here is 'The Kiss' and it does not disappoint - worth the entrance fee on its own! But it is also an elegant palace with well laid out grounds and lots to see. Interesting that a palace built to satisfy one man's vanity merely provides a wonderful backdrop to celebrate the talent of another.

The building and gardens are wonderful. The ticket price is expensive, so if you've few time try to visit at least the main building and gardens.

Visiting the lower Belveder for the temporary exhibition The Women of Klimt, Schiele and Kokoschka, whcih closes 28 February. Stunning works of art, great assemblage of art works from all around the world. Fascinating to see the role of women changing at the turn of the 19 to the 20th century, through the eyes of these marvellous Austrian painters.

I was very excited to see Gustav Klimt's paintings. It was amazing to see The kiss and the museum had put in a printed picture you could take selfies at which was fun! The gardens and buildings are lovely but I was a bit disappointed with the general content of the rest of the art work in this art gallery... More

A beautiful pair of monumental buildings: Upper and Lower Belvedere. The museum houses a collection of artworks by Gustav Klimt, but even if you are not interested in seeing these the buildings and gardens are still worth the visit.

We had such an amazing time here, exploring the botanical gardens (in January!) and then the museums, highly recommend buying the ticket for both the upper and lower, very worthwhile!!!!

How can you come to Belvedere and not see The Kiss? After a quick city tour which included a grounds-only tour of the museum, hubs and I decided to come back here and go into the museum that houses this world-famous piece. The museum is eclectic; there was a movie of a frog in technicolor that was on a loop,... More
