Performance of Beethoven's 9th symphony was marvellous as the concert hall and acoustics. It's best to book way ahead as it tends to get full real quick. Prices are high (the cheapest tickets cost 39€) but I'd say it pays off as it's a unique experience. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge you extra 1,2€ for... More

We have been here to listen to the Strauss Festival Orchestra on the new year's eve. The concert was great, and the Konzerthaus is beautiful, with an awesome acoustics. Besides, the organization is flawless, as we could verify after the concert when we went to take our coats back: in spite of a crowd of people, the service was fast... More

My wife and I visited a matinee show of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and were blown away. The acoustics were wonderful, the skill and personality of the musicians were second to none. This is a world class facility with world class musicians. I would highly recommend going to a show when you are in Vienna!

After a day tour in vienna we got tickets for the mozart concert to be held that night. The concert was a group of about 6 musicians plus 4 performers of dance and opera. It was worth it for the experience but being a country boy from Arkansas, I am satisfied saying "been there and done that". About 2 hours... More

Such a nice ambiance! A concert in an old style. Dont be tempted to book you tickets with agents or consierge, the best way is to just use the official websites.

While in Vienna we went to a wonderful concert with an ensemble of the Vienna Symphony, there were at least 25 performers, and we were treated to beautiful music by Mozart in a city where he performed many times himself. It is a beautiful old venue, and an added plus was an amazing marimba player performing with the ensemble. It... More

Had a lovely time at this easy on the ear concert. Amiable conductor's comments in English made this a memorable occasion. Well done to the excellent musicians and the entertainment was most enjoyable. We left humming The Blue Danube :)

We loved this place, it is so nice, the concert hall beautiful, and many stars come here. We experienced the fantastic Elina Garanca singing better than ever. Afterwards she signed cd's and talked with the public.

Sept 25 Avalon cruises offered this optional excursion. Although the venue was at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the actual production was downstairs in the basement. Nevertheless, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining event featuring professional muscians, singers and dancers. As guests of Avalon, we had preferred seats and roundtrip transfers. The cost was a reasonable $74 pp. The ensemble included about... More

Originally I planned to see the Phil, but no tickets were available to match my schedule, so I looked in the Vienna concert schedule and saw the Fritz Kreisler solo violin competition was on here. Walked into the box office and for 10 euro saw a 23 year old Czech violinist who might just be the next Joshua Bell. He... More
