We had a lovely set lunch sitting in the sun out on the extensive decking area. For less than 10 Euro we chose a "golden-yellow soup" which looked and tasted delicious with a silky texture and lots of flavour. For the main we had confit duck leg on shredded cabbage in broth and small roasted potatoes. This was accompanied by... More

We went for brunch on Sunday and have to say that i was quite good. A bit pricey. Location is not in very city centre but just next to it, so you will not be surrended by mass of people.

The first thing I liked bout this cafe is the deck. Makes you feel like at the river coast. The second - as the weather now is not very friendly yet and on the deck its mostly sunny, when you see people in there it seems they become happy and careless of all earthly affairs so it attracts you immensly.... What an amazing find! As a New Yorker, I generally don't expect much from a museum cafe, but this was something else! the food was delicious and creative, the prices were reasonable, the space was super cool and the atmosphere was totally chill. During the summer it's a blast to hang out on the patio or in one of the... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
