Mr. Stojaspal was so amazing. He knew his information well, he made the tour so interactive especially with his tablet! It made the tour so much more interesting to show the before/after the destruction. He also focused on pre war and post war and even roman times! He was so funny and gregarious. Coming from NY city this guide was... More

There is so much to see and do in Vienna that the short few days we had there was inadequate to do it justice. Herbert provided an interesting and informative introductory tour which which provided an excellent basis for our time there. This is one of the best tours I have experienced. Highly recommended.

Excellent: we joined Herbert Stojaspal, a certified Austrian Tour guide today for a midday tour of the grand and opulent centre of Vienna. Herbert set the stage of 1000 years of Vienna history, and the beginning and glory days of the Hapsburg Empire. He focused on architecture, art and history in a well informed and professional manner. He answered historical... More

We had an excellent walking tour with Herbert today around the inner ring of Vienna. Herbert's knowledge of Viennese, and European, history and the music of Vienna was second to none and he answered all of our questions. We went beyond the 2 hours allotted for our tour but such is his passion he did not notice! This was a... More

I would really recommend doing a tour soon after your arrival in any big city so as to get a grasp of the key areas to see. Herbert was very entertaining and informative, we really enjoyed the way he showed us pictures on his iPad as we went around so as to understand better the history. He also recommended the... More

On a cold and snowy Sunday morning Herbert showed my daughter and I around the historical centre of Vienna over 2 hours. He was a knowledgeable, professional and interesting guide who I would thoroughly recommend.

I take the tour for killing time, as I've been here couple times, but this tour brought me to the Silk Road of Vienna, even some places I've never think were exist, Mr. Herbert not only showed me the beauty of buildings and statues, but also rich with history and secret behind them. I'm so glad I took the tour.... More

Organised this last minute so given the notice the arrangements could not have been easier. Our guide was charming and extremely well informed on a very wide range of subjects coping admirably with our random disjointed questions. Adapted seamlessly to our interest in art and history. Would recommend this to anyone short of time or at the start of a... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
