I would really recommend doing a tour soon after your arrival in any big city so as to get a grasp of the key areas to see. Herbert was very entertaining and informative, we really enjoyed the way he showed us pictures on his iPad as we went around so as to understand better the history. He also recommended the... More

On a cold and snowy Sunday morning Herbert showed my daughter and I around the historical centre of Vienna over 2 hours. He was a knowledgeable, professional and interesting guide who I would thoroughly recommend.

I take the tour for killing time, as I've been here couple times, but this tour brought me to the Silk Road of Vienna, even some places I've never think were exist, Mr. Herbert not only showed me the beauty of buildings and statues, but also rich with history and secret behind them. I'm so glad I took the tour.... More

Organised this last minute so given the notice the arrangements could not have been easier. Our guide was charming and extremely well informed on a very wide range of subjects coping admirably with our random disjointed questions. Adapted seamlessly to our interest in art and history. Would recommend this to anyone short of time or at the start of a... More

Mr Herbert Stojapal was our guide during 3 hours. He teachs so much history that our walk was even more interesting. Vienna is indeed an amazing place. And the tour couldn't be better.

I spent a lot of time considering various options for how we might spend our time in the city, and chose an introductory tour with Herman as the key activity on our first full day in the city. A wise choice -- Hermann is a smart, interesting, fun tour guide. We met up with him at Michaelerplatz. I'd botched the... More

We booked this through Get your Guide - Herbert mailed, confirmed and communicated with us till two days before the tour. at this stage we were very impressed with the level of information he shared. On the day of the tour we had to check out of the hotel so rushed and reached the meeting point - none turned up... More

Dear Guest, I'm very surprised. Your review on Tripadvisor looks like I made the mistake. Why you make such a bad review for Viennatour? You booked via GetYourGuide, they canceled your bookings and you should review them and not Viennatour! I expect your rectification. Regards Herbert Viennatour More

I was in Vienna twice at the beginning and at the end of my holiday with my dad. Despite my lack of money during the first part of the trip i found my way and found some of the people very comforting. In the town center were people who were trying to sell tickets for concerts. They weren't too pushy... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
