Owner description: The Cultural World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most frequently visited tourist attraction. In the palace the residential and state rooms with their original furnishings and decorations convey an authentic impression of the imperial lifestyle. The park and gardens surrounding the palace make Schönbrunn in a unique synthesis of Baroque art as well as providing a convenient and highly popular recreational area for Vienna's population.

The first stop on out tour of Vienna and it didn't disappoint. It's only a few stops on the metro from the centre of Vienna to it's own dedicated station and a five minute walk to the entrance. I'd recommend the 'Grand Tour' which is a couple of Euros more expensive, but gives access to some additional stunning rooms. There... More

Such an opulent palace with interesting history. Good audio guides. Amazing decor throughout. Great for lovers of art and history of the Hapsburg family

Enjoyed the guided tour, just enough information. Christmas markets were beautiful. We also visited the carriage museum, certainly worth a visit.

The Palace is worth making time to visit. It is so elegant and speaks of a time long gone. The Markets are so well laid out and have local Austrian crafts. The Gluwein helps as do the heaters all around the place. Make sureto go at dusk as it's magical.... the tree and the lights

Audio guide was included in combined Winter Pass which got you into Palace and Zoo, very good value. Takes you through about 40 rooms, all on 1st floor. Very interesting and not overbearing on historical detail.

Parking is nearby about 3-5 EURO per hour There... More

Worth to see the place of Hapsburg familly history. The garden must be nicer in spring and autumn but in winter is quite poor. The site of Vienna is estonishing. Visit is highly recommended.

I went in December so it's not very enjoyable walking outdoor at the palace garden. Flowers are all gone in winter month. But I got compensated with the beautiful Christmas market in front of the palace. Do take a hot chocolate drink to keep yourself warm. It can be mixed with cherry brandy! The palace insides are very grand and... More

Take the subway out to the palace from downtown Vienna; quick ride and the walk to the palace. About the size of Versailles, but not nearly as opulent from the outside (or inside). Bought the grand tour, which takes you through 40 rooms in the first floor. Rooms are gorgeous and some of the most impressive ones were not included... More
