We hopped off the Vienna Ring tram and entered into teh Stadtpark.. It was a regular park and a nice quiet walk was well worth it. But we had some time to spare and hence, enjoyed a leisure walk. There is a nice Strauss square where you could click a couple of pictures. Pretty average and need not do this... More

We stayed at the Hilton across the street from the Stadtpark. This is a lovely small park. There are broad walkways with statues of famous people of Vienna. Families were out with their children. Beautiful trees and other foliage. You can walk through the park in 20-30 minutes and see just about everything--including the gilded statue of Johann Strauss. But... More

I'm not sure why there are so many glowing reviews of Stadtpark. To me it is far from the best one Vienna has to offer. Volksgarten is better, and that is undergoing an unsightly renovation at the moment. The gardens of the Belvedere and Schoenbrunn kick Stadpark's butt too. OK, OK, what Stadtpark *does* have is oodles and oodles of... More

The Stadtpark is a great city park that is easy to get to and is a terrific place to go for a stroll or grab a cool treat, sit down on a bench and just people watch for a while. There are lots of benches and beautiful touches throughout the park like fountains, ponds and statues. The most famous and... More

Vienna, Austria is a beautiful yet quaint city. My wife and I especially enjoyed the quaint biergarten in Statdtpark. The Goulash and Weinerschnizel was very tasty. But the park itself was absolutely beautiful. You could easily spend hours there enjoying the beauty. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel right across the street form the park just opposite the ubahn. I... I am just back from eight days in Vienna - a city I know quite well. My husband was working long hours, we had a nice little apartment on the Heumarkt with Starlight Suites - I recommend them - and I had a lot of reading to do. It's two minutes from the Stadtpark itself and the Ubahn. Try the... More
