Once you see the crowds of people you will find the Strauss statue which is worthy of a photo or two. There are other nearby spots in this park that are picture worthy as well. Be patient and you will have an opportunity for a short photo shoot.

the park is full of statues to composers and famous artists, but it is the one of Strauss that everyone comes to see- he is gorgeous in gold, with his fiddle, shining in the sunshine! We pottered around the rest of the park too.

We enjoy seeing the monument to the 'Waltz King' - Johann Strauss when passing through Stadtpark in Vienna. This is supposedly the most photographed monument in the city and for good reason, its a lovely monument that is well worth seeking out when visiting Vienna. Here you can find a gold coloured, almost life-size statue of Strauss, standing on a... More

Fun to walk through the park there are multiple statues to gaze upon. The Strauss monument itself is beautiful but don't miss the rest of the park

It's located in Stadtpark near the Kursalon. It's one of the most photographed monuments in Vienna. Maybe it's the gilded gold statue of Strauss within the carved marble framework that makes it so eye-catching. The colorful spring flower beds bring out the beauty of it. It's worth a visit even if you're making a special trip to see it. Visiting... More

This was showing outside the park near the Hilton on TA when I was there but it is in the park near the concert hall and cafe. Some said it was looking worse for wear but looks to have had a clean up.

There are quite a few monuments, statues and busts dedicated to the many great composers that spent time in Vienna during centuries past. However, the one that leaves the greatest impression is the gilded monument to Johann Strauss, also known as the king of waltz, which can be found in Stadtpark, near the Kursalon Wien building The Monument to Johann... The Strauss Monument is worth seeing, especially if you are a classical music fan. Strauss was a great musician and composer and we today are in gratitude for the musical inheritance he left us.

Convenient sanctuary for a stroll or chilled relaxation. Lots of locals and tourists enjoying its shade entertaining ducks and surrounding flora adorned with statues and busts. Its free and theres drinking fountain. Downside: garden could do with trimming (esp on the non-Strauss side) water stagnant watch out for bugs, and no dogs allowed. Overall lovely mini getaway.

Great Statue of Strauss in the park next to our Hotel - Hilton Hotel - walking distance off the main road, beautiful setting. Can they move it to my back yard ?
