I visited this zoo because I wanted to see the "oldest zoo in Europe". I didn't expect the diversity of animals. Among other animals there were elephants, giraffes, penguins and even two sloths! It was raining during our visit which is a shame as I would have liked to spend more time walking around. More

Great zoo, with well built services. Good for the animals and good for the visitors. More

Loved the bear and wolf enclosure that takes advantage of the natural woodland. Wish the new "arctic" polar bear enclosure had been finished - but a reason to return when it is. More

The range of animals and the way they were presented. Some particular high points, like the giant stick insect. Pandas were cute and very close. More

Interesting zoo. Not easy to find with lots of walking and time needed to see everything. would probably be too hot in the summer. More

Bear in mind that it takes few miles to walk to this zoo if you take Schonbrunner garden entrances unless you purposely love to see their beautiful garden. The zoo is amazing it has all the animals possible you could see still providing the playground for the kids is always a best option for them and parents... my daughter was... More

You will find this listed in most guidebooks as the "best zoo in Europe." Well, compared to many zoos in the U.S. (San Diego, Los Angeles, Columbus) and even Asia its really second rate. Don't get me wrong, its nice and there is plenty to see here but if you've been to a lot of the zoos around the world... More

Quite small but attractive zoo. Specially if you would like to see big and small pandas. Great addition for your visit to Schonbrunn palace. Kids will love it. More
