I suppose this is what passes for the main drag of the allstadt, with the bonus of being closed to all traffic other than pedestrian, commercial ... and the amazing airplanes which seem to skim the old buildings as they land and take off from the nearby narrow airport. This is the place to see and be see by local... More

One can watch people, admire the views, or just take the weight off your feet. It is a great place to eat and have coffee or a beer.

After a full day of sightseeing, we enjoyed this quainter street and took a tea break. On one side the Anna Saeule and well maintained old buildings, in the other direction the old city and the Goldene Dachl.

As part of Aldstadt, musicians and artists gather near the base and play for tips. The 3-man band we heard, "the trouble notes" were very good! Love to experience a place like this and take in the history and culture!

Very nice and well visited part of Innsbruck. Many youngsters, young adults and visitors milled around this site and enjoyed the bustling activities around them. Many restaurants and posh shops are nearby, and usually there is a currywurst / frankfurter temporary-shop and it looks delicious. Did not managed to try it but I will do it next time I visit... Very nice and well organized part of Innsbruck. Weather you are here for shopping, a meal or just a mingling-with-people walk, you will always be happy. This is one of the many must visit spots in Innsbruck.
