This is what you do by foot , taking your time to take in the panorama . The colourful houses the old buildings, the street life. Take a coffee and a cake in one of the wonderful cafes watch the people go by.

We strolled around this place late evening and the sights and sounds were out of this world with the Alps following you in every nook and corner. We saw lovely musical performances in the street corners and ate amazing Gelato ice creams while strolling around. Its such a storytale setting that you will feel like settling in this little town... As the main street of Innsbruck, it was nice to spend some time strolling around this street on the way to the Triumphforte.

Nice area with good sights but nothing amazing. Street Cafés and shop all around. The area was packed with tourists. The souvenir shops had a huge selection of Austria souvenirs. Swarovski crystal shop had a very nice pieces in their exhibition on the the ground floor of their shop. Some construction work is done in the street.

This 'strasse' is wonderful to take your time strolling along. The buildings/architecture/signs are all so beautiful. So many are embellished with beautiful artwork/statues. It really is a feast for the eyes. As well, you can shop and eat your heart out on this street, so go ahead...indulge. It is generally pretty crowed, so try to go earlier or later in... More

We went yesterday for walk and had ice cream in there. It was lovely. Not so much packed because on Sundays the shops are closed so you do not have crazy shopaholics running around.

This area of town is lovely but always packed. This is the main shopping area where you can find just about anything. There are also a lot of restaurants and bars. Most have outside seating- it is often difficult to get a seat during midday. My favorite part of this area is the list of sister cities in the cobblestones.

The baroque facades and gables do not clash with the commercially vibrant atmosphere. Contiuous with Herzog-Friedrich SraBe, it has the golden roof at one end and the Maria Theresia thriumphal arch at tha other. There are all sorts of activities throughout the day. One can see the olympic ski jump complex in its whole length if one looks beyond the... More
