A lttle too touristy for my me. The large mall built into the old buildings is out of place and made me sad.....reallt ruined the ambiance. Liked that this just for pedestrians, however and nice public space to sit for a bit.

Innsbruck is all about charm. This ancient street harbors some fine and subtle art amidst the Alps. The charm surpasses the shopping itself. Although there are abundant shops and they can be fun too, one should save some time to appreciate the combined charm of art and scenery.

If you love shopping you'll love the Maria Theresienstrasse. It's packed with all types of shops, some chains, but all stylish and smart. There are also several eateries including some chains. Tables and chairs are set out in the middle of this boulevard-type street so you can enjoy your snack or meal there while watching the world go by.

A lovely streetscape lined with high end stores. The view back towards the old town and the mountains is unique.

The view here is amazing. Great old buildings in the forefront with Mountains looming behind. This is the ideal place in Innsbruck to take a stroll.

Instead of just shopping, stroll down this historical street and appreciate the architecture and the old world charm. The atmosphere is wonderful and there is so much to see. We have taken the liberty of entering some of the old churches and were blown away with the art and majesty of it all. Well worth a visit.

The Christmas market in the Maria-Theresianstrasse is open on Christmas Eve unlike the rest of the Christmas arket in the old town which had been completely cleared away by Christmas Eve morning.

Wonderful place to spend your day at the city with lotsa shops. Christmas day is really good to take a stroll around the area, with less crowd and your photos sure would look good with practically clear view of the place;)

This is a beautiful area. We were fortunate to be in Innsbruck in December and got to experience the Christmas markets at Maria Theresiastrasse. Lots of shops to tempt you to spend your money. It is easy to find as it is just down the street from Old Town. Don't miss it.
