We found this little gem on our last day and I thought it was a just a brewery. Not liking beer myself I wasn't keen but it was definitely worth a visit. It is like a mini market instead full of lovely stalls selling everything you would need for a lunch, sweet and savoury and some unusual things I had... More

My husband and I each enjoyed a liter of great beer and tasty pretzels and weiners... pick up your food at any booth , walk to line, grab your size mug and they fill with beer!! A beautiful garden with lots of locals. Fun place to take a break from all that Salzburg has to offer. Go Hawks!

Absolutely stunning! We wandered over the river from our hotel one afternoon (doesn't open till 3.00) and weren't really sure if we were visiting a brewery with a shop attached or a bar. Upon arrival a little way up the hill, the municipal like door was not promising and inside a dark hallway led to another closed door. Once this... More

What a fantastic cultural experience. My wife and I had a great time eating well priced Austrian cuisine alongside a giant half a litre (the smaller option) mug of beer. We highly recommend this experience.

I love this place. I am writing this because I read reviews, not the good ones but the poor one's. Here is what the place is - A very old (historic) Beer Hall with side vendors, Nothing more Nothing less. Understand the history of this place and you might appreciate it a lot more. Back in the day (1800's) imagine... More

Neat atmosphere, just ok beer .... But you wonder where a third of your beer that you just paid 10 Euro for went when you got to your table... Yes it was filled with foam! One room has neat tables with great atmosphere but all tables had reserved signs on them so we had to go to other room with... More

A friend who I just met brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised! It was a pretty big beergarten with a lot of locals drinking from simple mugs. The beer was fine, but not everything that mattered. The signs on the wall which were telling me at what times and days of the month the tables were reserved for... More

Love the setting, beer and food, indoors in the beer halls or outside in the beer garden. The outside under the trees is the best, of course. Great atmosphere to soak up the local beer and social culture. Indoors, the 4 or more giant beer halls are inside an "L" shaped hall way which is lined with food stalls each... More

While we were in Salzburg, I got on the internet to find a good beer hall. I think I made an excellent choice. The place is not easy to find. But trust the address. Even though the front of the building WILL NOT look like there's a HUGE beer hall behind the doors, just trust the address. You'll go through... More

After spending your day in Salzburg, this is the place to come and enjoy an old craft beer and enjoy the shade of the huge pecan trees of their biergarten. It’s a bit of a hike to get to Mülln (old mill area) from Old Town (20-30 min.). However, it is easy to find this place. Just look for the... More
