Green, green, green. If you are a nature lover, this is the city for you. It's beautiful with the river winding through the city, and cute little alleyways. And very very clean as well. Can just walk around, exploring the city or take a nap in sun in the many green parks. Must try the local pastries.

Saltzburg is one of those cities you must visit before you die. It was the birthplace of Mozart and they let you know it :)

See Mozart's birthplace, listen to street musicians making wonderful music, walk in the gardens of Mirabell Palace, the Salzburg Cathedral (it has 5 pipe organs!), eat authentic Austrian pastries, etc. All within walking distance.

love the slow yet vibrant pace of Salzburg. there is so much to see and do around here - my favourite was finding the modern art museum at night and riding the elevator to the top of the cliff (small fee) for the best view of the city. stop and see Mozart's house, go to the castle that towers over... The old town is full of beautiful buildings from the 17-18th C, many in the baroque style. This includes the residence and several churches. The environment is rather sophisticated and all is topped by the spectacular fortress, one of the biggest of its kind.

The city is pretty charming and if you walk downtown you will be amazed with so many beautiful things to see. You can eat some nice sausages (Bratwurst) on the street stands and than an Apfelstrudel for desert. Don't forget your camera and make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Excellent, fantastic. You can walk hours and hours between old alleys and still have something to get astonished about, during day or night. Simply unforgettable. Remarkably clean for a (big) city with so many tourists.
