Charming with many great shops and restaurants. Easy to walk around and the castle tour is very interesting.

Old town is very interesting with its rabbit warren of narrow streets and long history. There is a wide array of fashion shops, restaurants and other businesses. In the central plaza, in front of the Dom is a... More

The old town in Salzburg is one of my favourite places. There is so much to see but the old town is quite compact. When you cross the river and enter through one of the many arched entrances you are entering a magical city. It is a town made for wandering with history on every corner. We were lucky enough... Nothing to dislike. The people are friendly and helpful. So many times we were lost and strangers just stopped and offered help.

This is a gem of europe so compact yet so much to see . Easy to walk around with so much history I have visited here about 9 times and every time discovered something new . The old city is fantastic to walk around with beautiful architecture and awsome restaurants and street food stalls . The castle on the hill... More

Just a magical old town. I really could live here. Loved every minute of our time here. Take the time to walk all the little streets. Enjoy all the little things.

Lots of shopping with many unique stars in addition to the usual chain stores but prices are high. Walk anywhere to explore what interests you. Don't forget a Mozart concert while in town.

We were fortunate to visit during a Festival period. There was a large tent where a band played. The atmosphere was similar to Oktoberfest in Munich. Many high end shops and specialty shops to chose from.

Salzburg in Austria is a beautiful city to visit. The Old Town Salzburg is very charming and authentic with beautiful architecture. The small narrow streets are magical and the the city can be explored by walking. There are several museums to visit and you can hear music played by individuals on many roads as this is the hometown to Mozart.... More
