The tourist office and the Salzberg card are great. However the tour suggested with the card was terrible, the guide was unfriendly, difficult to understand and it was very disappointing. There was little information given, mostly just suggestions to go and look at other things. A genuine waste of euros.

We did the guided walking tour with the tourist office based on other reviews on Trip Advisor. The tours are daily and they offer them in German and English (separate groups) for €9 per person. We had Gabbi who was fantastic. She was informative, friendly and funny. The tour was informal and lasted approx 1.15 hours. We were really glad... More

If you plan to see things in Salzburg and are staying for a little bit of time, it makes sense to pick up the card. You get free transportation, admission to all the sights, a tour of the mountain South of town. It was well worth the money for us.

Our first day in Salzburg were were helped by a pleasant woman named Elizabeth. Who cheerfully answered all of pour questions and made good recommendation for an excellent concert at the Mozart Residence. The second visit we encountered a most unpleasant woman who answered our questions with answers such as "Well, what does it say in the brochure?" What a... More

Saltzburg is the home of the Sound of Music and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Mozart chocolates, the original Saltzburg Mozartkugeln are also from here. Walked through the magnificient gardens of the Mirabell Palace We walked over the bridge with the padlocks, where couples secure a padlock on the bridge as a sign that they will be together for life. Walked... More

Super helpful tourist information lady will happily chat with you about what you should see in the time you have in Salzburg in flawless English (not that I'm one of those tourists who thinks everything should be in your language but it is useful for tourist information considering my German is so rusty it barely holds together!). The official tour... More

The tourist office offers an hour tour in English for 9 Euros (20% off with a Salzburg card) at 12:15 daily. You get a yellow 'reservation' ticket and then show up in front of the office at 12:10. Our tour was excellent and gave us many insights into the city's history, inhabitants, economy etc. We learned a lot and felt... More

The birth place of Mozart, what more can you ask! This city was amazing, beautiful river canals, castles, museums, restaurants; just take a walk throughout the city will be a memorable experience or Take a horse carriage trip and enjoy the cathedral and the multiple sites that this city has to offer. A bit expensive but definitely worth it.
