Inhale the Special atmosphere of this unique church. Attend a ceremony. My Special recommendation, when there is no ceremony, and Access is limited, sneek-in thru the side eentrance (it says entrance not permitted) and make your self-guided tour. A Little bit mysterious.

It's so simply done, and quite legendary - dates back to the 8th century! It was a fresh change after so many grandiose cathedrals, Im sure everyone would feel the same way. Spectacular.

One of the many nice church visits you can make in the historic city centre of Vienna is that of the Franciscan Church (Franziskanerkirche) which is also known as The Church of St. Jerome is a Franciscan Church. This smaller church has some of the prettiest art in the city. It truly is amazing. Also, i think it is a part of the sound of music, when they were hiding behind the bars. It is really worth the stop, don't miss it.

The Church of St. Jerome is a Franciscan Church and has a facade that is Renaissance in style. It was built in 1603. Father Bonaventura Daum designed the church. This church is little seen but it is worth seeing.

Athough the Dom is considered the main church, this is far more appealing, both in structure as at atmosphere. The ceiling is spectacular - makes you think of Barcelona's SF. Well worth a visit.

We prefered this to the cathedral. It felt used and loved throughout the years. Several different styles, some fragments of wall painting and an atmosphere of quiet .

The church was rebuilt in the 13th century and consecrated in 1221.It served as a parish church until 1635. It is well worth a visit while in Salzburg.
