I believe that almost no one goes to visit this museum as a final goal. Everyone goes to the Castle and, once there, they visit the museum. As per previous review the Iron Soldier were great. I loved the cupboard made from "recycled" rifles and bayonets. I am guessing this would classified as "Trench Art" I would have liked to know it's history....

The museum in fortress Hohensalzburg is not free of charge but it is worhwhile yo visit. My personal favorite were the "iron soldiers". Restored rooms of the fortress’s Hoher Stock (upper floor).The exhibition displays the history of the fortress and daily life in a castle.
