Somebody warned me this would be really cheesy and I am delighted to say they weren't wrong! The setting was lovely, down in the cellar under K&K Hotel - there was one menu with no printed choices but the waitress was very helpful in offering alternatives to the things we didn't fancy. The show itself, comprising Mozart, Austrian folk tunes... More

We opted for only the entertainment portion of the evening and had no idea what to expect. When we went down into the cellar there were only 8 people there...and we made 10. The venue is a very old (something in the neighbourhood of 700 years?) and very intimate. There was a pianist playing lovely classical music. Next to the... More

I went with no particular expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Make no mistake, these are professional classically trained performers singing classic songs well. The acoustics in the intimiate stone wall room were well suited to the powerful performances delivered by the cast. The stage is small and given the electric grand piano, they could downsize that for the performers. Nonetheless... More

As long as you don't go expecting a West End style musical this is a good show and will enhance your experience in a wonderful city. The venue is small and intimate so expect to be asked to join in! The show is performed by 4 singers and a pianist who put everything into it. The food as with most... More

The meal before the show was only average, certainly not worth the money we paid for it. Everyone had to rush desert to catch the show which started at 8:30 sharp. Nearly 10 euro for two cheap tasting glasses of red wine. The singing was ok, but seemed amateurish and not worth the EUR49 charge. We agree with an earlier... More

My good lady and I are ardent The Sound of Music followers; we know the songs, superbly composed and written by Rogers & Hammerstein, to the tee. And, for any company other than the original cast, to reproduce the sounds of the music, is a mammoth task! Exceptionally well done by the cast of great singers and pianist of the... More

We had a lovely evening with great entertainment. The food was not the most exciting food we had in Salzburg. On the other hand the show was very cozy with some very talented singers.

This is one of the most amateur, over-priced tourist traps out there. The room was uncomfortable, the service terrible, food average but luke-warm and we had all finished by the time one person at our table had even been served. The show was positively amateur, good signing but much better to have a sing-along with the film. I would really... More

Five entertainers, 1 lad on piano excellent, 2 girls and 2 fellows who are great singers and dancers. They get the crowd going an encourage you to join in with the singing and dancing. We had booked the dinner and show package, but if I was going again I would just book the show. The food was only average and... More

Wasn't what I expected but was good fun. Food was average but the show was entertaining and the singing was too a high standard. I am not a huge Sound of Music fan (my wife is) but I enjoyed the show and she loved it. If you are expecting a big stage production with a huge audience this is not... More
