Great views of the city from the top of the Castle Hill. Clock Tower is a jewel worth having a look at :)

It's not very often that you can reach city observing point like in Graz - on foot, 15 mins from city centre. To get there, you can take a light walk from park or choose a lift, but I recommend a walk and afterwards going down by beautiful stairs that also lead to the bridge and Murinsel.

https://500px.com/photo/93966609/tower-clock-by-sorin-markus?from=user_library This is a photo taken by me right being near the tower, on the top of the hill, where I arrived by lift. A fabulous panorama of the city was available from there and it is a touristic place, all languages of the earth were meeting there. Superb sunset seen from that place towards the Mur and city.

Schlossberg lures with an amazing view over the city of Graz. Must-see for every visitor. It's easy accessible by foot (free; 10 minute walk from city centre) or funicular (small fee).

The Schlossberg in Graz is one of my favourite locations. You can either take a elevator up or walk the stairs, they are very steep and a good work out! Once you make it to the top you'll be greeted with a great view over the entire city. It really is a beautiful place to look out from, and one... More

If you are in Graz don't miss visiting this place! you can see almost everything from there. it has elevator for those who can't climb stairs. it is a bit steep so I preferred to go up with elevator and I came back on stairs. But the thing is that if you want to use elevator you have to pay... More

This tower is beautiful. It is not that big, but it is very unique. It also offers a great view of the town. Really take your time and go on the Schlossberg hill and see it.

The tower with clocks is picturesque landmark. It is a symbol of the city. There are three ways how to get there - impressive stairs, Schlossbergbahn (funicular) and lift. The view to the city is nice and panoramatic. Must see !

Worth the trip up the funicular to Schlossberg hill. Small Christmas market near the Uhrturm. Hour hand is longer than the minute hand, making it easier to estimate the time from down in the town.

This medieval clock tower is fascinating to see up close and the view over the city from its location is wonderful. The city paid Napoleon a ransom in 1809 to keep it from being destroyed when the other fortifications on the hill overlooking the city were conquered. The hands on the clock are unusual in that the large hand shows... More
