The entire city lays below your feet! Old red roofs and modern glass-made walls, spires of the state houses and onion domes of churches - all of them are 70m below your eyes! And the antient clock tower rises behind you! Uhrturm (the clock tower) looks concisely and asceticl - the clock-faces (there are fout of them) are simply painted... More

Coming to Graz and missing the Uhrturm is like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel tower. First, the Uhrturm dominates the landscape of Graz, so you'd really have to try hard missing it. Then, it's one of the symbols of the city. Then the place offers what is probably the nicest 360 view of Graz and is packed... More

When the French razed the fortifications some 200 years ago, they allowed the citizens of Graz to ransom this Clock Tower. A wise act as it ensured that the good citizens would continue to know the time of day by looking up at their beloved Uhrturm. It is a handsome tower that can be seen close up when you take... More

If you are in Graz, and have at least one hour of free time go visit this little Berg. If you are in a good shape I suggest you take the zig zag stares. The view is simply beautiful. A very very romantic place especially in the evening

I opted to take the stairs to go up. If you do this, and it's a hot day, I recommend doing it first thing in the morning. The walk was beautiful, the architecture, the flowers, the view, all of it was picturesque. Once you get to the top the clock is pretty cool as well as the other gems up... More

Climb - tehre are more than 200 steps, take the funicular or the lift. In any case when you are at the top, you have a wonderful view of the whole city. The red roofs and the towers of the chruches, the Kunsthalle, everthing has got a differnt picture from above. It is told that this is the place where... More

This sits in a beautiful garden that gives expansive views of Graz. It's definitely worth doing. Either mode of getting there funicular lift or via the twisting walk ways

The Schlossberg and specifically the Uhrturm are the icons of Graz. You can't visit Graz and not go up the Schlossberg to visit the Uhrturm! There are three different ways to get up the top- stairs (260 steps that make your legs burn), a lift and the Schlossbergbahn (last two have a small fee attached to them). The views from... More

We had a perfect clear sunny day for the amazing view across the red Graz rooftops to the mountains in the distance. The tower itself looks lovely with beautifully kept gardens below. Shame there was nobody about to tell us some history about the tower and the clock itself.
