Explored this museum during riverboat cruise stop. Main exhibits on upper level; lower level more like amateur artwork. Mosbacher was very interesting. Rented the headset for more detailed commentary re left side of museum artworks/portraits/sculpture; also used portable seat. Wish headset info had included commentary re Mosbacher, et al exhibits on right side of museum!

This gallery does not meet up to it's own, and others ' advertising. The blurbs we had read and the vids one can see of the Lentos illuminated at night led us to have high expectations. Unfortunately the gallery is well below expectations. The building inside is a concrete warehouse, dull , bland ,unstimulating and a very poor venue for... More

The museum seems smaller inside than it appears from the outside. They have some interesting exhibitions. Many of the exhibits in the permanent collection are worth seeing. The cafe is a perfect setting in which to enjoy a reverside glass of wine on a summer evening.

I went in because I had a Linz City card, otherwise I don't think the 8€ admissions fee is necessarily worth it. The exhibit is relatively small, but there are some interesting works on display, and the building itself is cool, but I wouldn't call it a must do unless you are passionate about modern art. It's no MOMA or... More

I really appreciated the quality of the architectural intervention. if you are interested in a calibrated and significant contemporary architectural work you shouldn't miss this. nice collection inside, worth a visit. the entry fee is levelled with the european admission prices: quite high, honestly.

The museum building is interesting glass covered and worth seeing. I had chance to have dinner in the restaurant which is modern and offers nice fair priced meals.

I spent a very fun time in this museum. Go and see the temporary exhibition before is over. I laugh a lot here. For me this unusual exhibition about the naked man was awesome.

Enjoyed some of UK compatriot Sean Scully's Exhibition during Ars Electronica -love his remark "colour is emotional weather". Also Die Sammlung -111 years- enabled some kokoshka etc . Loos and Lockers in basement and could pay in GBP credit card. Crazy building- just over the river from Hitler's Nibelungen Bridge- not sure if this or Ars Electronica change colour at... More

The Lentos museum is remarkable not only for its location, right on the Danube river-side, not only for its building, a modern and interesting construction, but indeed for its collection and temporary exhibitions. The museum exhibits mainly mittel-European pieces of art, ranging from 1820 to date. For me it would have been enough just the opera of the early Klimt... More
