The square is definitely worth visiting while in Monaco. It provides solid people watching, a beautiful backdrop (especially at night, when the casino is lit up), and is free to boot (which is a blessing given the cost of most things in Monaco). There are always a number of nice cars parked outside as well.

Visited on a day trip, cheap little bus from Nice. The cars on the streets were amazing, stuff you'd see on display in a sports car extravaganza. Probably helped by the fact that we visited during a tennis tournament, but a great place to imagine yourself as a lottery winner. Fun to catch a glimpse into the life of the... More

We spent a day in Monaco/Monte Carlo whilst staying in Nice. For those staying in that area or further along the coast to Cannes, the train is the best way to travel. The buses are intermittent and often delayed or cancelled. From the station you can walk down to the seafront, if you are fit, otherwise use the excellently designed... More

Went on tour with friends after checking out the casino. So many luxury cars parked along the magnificent fountain backdrop. Cafe's across the square is expensive, and nothing worth spending if you are on a budget. Don't let it deter you to check it out!

We spent a lovely hour or so sitting in the Cafe de Paris people and luxury car watching ! Gorgeous square and so much going on ! The cafe was expensive ( of course ) and we treated ourselves to a giant Chocolate ice cream sundae -bliss ! After 2pm you can also go into the foyer of the casino... More

Definitely a compulsory point in a visit to Monte Carlo. The square itself has little to offer but I assure you that you're going to stay for more than a while: you'll be addicted to discover what luxury car will surprise you in the next minute!

Situated right in the centre and by the casino it's the cheapest place to see the parade of cars and people watch. Just go into the Cafe de Paris and get a coffee and enjoy the next 1/2 hours

The Monte Carlo casino and the square around it is breathtaking. You can walk around and admire the hotel de Paris. The Casino. The old fashioned cafés and little parks. Plus there is always an interesting collection cars you can admire in front of the casino.

The square itself is beautiful, with the interior of the Grand Casino truly amazing! Getting a drink in the casino or in the cafe outside is pricey, expect to spend a fair amount (even for coffee). Saying that though, you pay for the luxury of being in the Casino Square in Monte Carlo - some people love it, some people... More
