This is a small museum located just off the palace. You can buy a palace combo ticket that includes the museum or just get a museum ticket for a few Euros. I'm a Napoleon buff so I really enjoyed this collection even though it's a little small. Lots of "costumes" and plenty of memorabilia. If you're into Napoleon then this... More

This was a pleasant surprise to me on my trip to Monaco. I was not aware that the principality owns one of the largest memorabilia collections in the world. I have always found Napoleon to be a fascinating historical figure. He is considered one of "The Six Great Captains of Military History" and was the last of such. The other... More

The objects displayed are very precious and interesting. Good palce for people to know the relationship between France and Monaco. Another no-photos place!

Entry to the Museum is included as part of the tour of the Prince's Palace, but it is no where near as good. The Museum's layout is traditional, with items displayed in cabinets and the sort. An audio guide is provided explaining the importance of a collection of items on show. The Museum doesn't compare to the tour of the... More

No lines, a hind treasure to see all the collection of Napoleon collected by Prince Ranier. Only 4 euros to enter and photos are permitted. It is located to the left of the main entrance to the prince's palace on the " rocher"

This was much more interesting to me than the palace, but we bought a combination ticket for the palace, this museum and the Musee Oceanographique (which was our favorite). They have Napoleon's original hat and lots of artifacts.

I'm attracted to Museums and Museums are attracted to me. I would visit more of these if allowed to by my better half. This would interest anyone who is interested in Napoleon and a little bit of French history. If not, I'm sure you would rate this attraction at most with 2 stars. This is the private collection of the... More

Lots of costumes and paintings lots of documents and interesting facts about the man himself a few artefacts but was a little disappointed that there were no souvenirs or copies of documents being sold. Great place for research but not much else I'm afraid

The old documents stored in a brass bookshelf like device were fascinating. Audio guide was hardly worth carrying. There are two numbering systems and they do not coordinate. Explanations on guide are rudimentary for the few numbers available. Numbers hard to find. Descriptions are brief. However, I still enjoyed the collection immensely. Also, it was hot outside and nice and... More

Unwelcoming staff at the entrance. Given an audio guide that appears to be almost pointless. Very few labels that appear to correspond to the artefacts and the audio guide. Not like the audio guide used in the princes palace next door which was very clearly labelled. Some uniforms, artefacts, documents on display very poorly explained. Cost to visit was included...
