The botanical gadens were nice. Mostly cactus well presented on fun paths along the hillside. But the joy for us was in the views from the paths. Unobstructed views of all Monaco from a high vantage point. Stunning - bring your camera. The other great surprise was the cavern at the bottom of the gardens. You go down 300 steps... more

I went backpacking with a friend and we decided to take a day off from the museums and casinos to see this beautiful garden. My wife and I happened on the the exotic garden during a casual walk around Monte Carlo. It is an extremely long garden which hangs on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranian. After having seen the Jardine Exotique featured on the American Television show Victory Garden, I planned my trip to southern Europe around going thru Monte Carlo to see the gardens.
