Soldeu has a great feel to it. Small village in the mountains with many English expats in residence. We had a great activity holiday and Soldeu acted as a great base for, mountain biking and spa.

It has a high street full of bars and restaurants. It's a child friendly environment. There is a choice of getting the Chair lift or Cable Car up to the starting area from the Town itself. We have been 3 times now and enjoyed every time. Being a small place you can't help bumping into anyone you have met on... More

Great ski area and lots of sunshine. Ski school excellent and English !! Resort costs very reasonable. Instructors work very hard to keep everyone entertained both day and night with great bands etc..

Over 200 kilometres of ski runs. Suitable for beginners and experienced skiers, great for all ages and abilities. Reasonable prices. Nice little town of Soldeu, with bars providing entertainment. I can thoroughly recommend Tuesday and Thursday nights at Fat Alberts, where a band called The Shambles, (made up from ski instructors) get together. The place gets really busy, and entertainment... We came when it was the "European Slalom Ski finals" and we could see the finals from our window and enjoyed it very much. The resort itself is very nicely marked and it is very easy to find the different trails. Soldeu is not much of a village like villages in Austria or France.

I have just had a brilliant holiday skiing in Soldeu. The Hotel Piolets was great. The staff were attentive and polite. The room was fine. There was a great selection of food available. The skiing was awesome. I attended classes and all the participants and teacher (Anne) were great. The last 3 days were perfect weather. I was so reluctant... More

Just came back from our ski trip and we both had a great time – Massive whiteout on the first day we arrived and lots of powder to play with for the rest of the week! Yes the ski pass is rather pricey compared to the other places but everything is very well maintain and you can use it throughout... More

Soldeu el Tarter is the best place to be in Grandvallira. 5 minute gondola to the slopes, there are lots of runs going down to the town and you can get to any part of the resort from there.
