Great place for an inexpensive holiday. Good snow, but not the most challenging or huge ski area. Probably best for beginners and intermediates, and well maintained pistes. If it gets windy there are not many wooded areas to hide in, so time on the slopes is reduced under these conditions. Wind can also blow the snow of the hills leaving... More

We stay in Soldeu for practice DH, we rent the bikes here. The staff is very friendly and help us to load the bike in the ski lift. The DH slopes aren't the best in Andorra but the rent + forfait is cheaper than Vallnord. The food in the Espiolets zone isn't the best neither but is enought. we come back... More

The Grandvalira ski area is much underrated and seems to face a snobbish attitude from many skiers. There is enough skiing for anyone including plenty of testing off piste terrain. Some of the lifts are getting a bit tired and could do with upgrading and the return link from Pas de la Casa to Soldeu could be made faster by... More

Stayed in El Tarter quiet resort but excellent Neilson hotel (see review)The Soldeu?El Tarter ski area was very good with some nice long runs , ski instructers were very good. Loads of snow, weather was very good,Spring snow conditions therefore not always easy or skiable all day(but that's not the resorts fault). Sometimes pistes hadn't been prepared.Got to see some... This was our first time at Soldeu. We stayed at the piolets park and spa which was great although the food could do with being a bit warmer. The shuttle service from the hotel was good and the ski hire easy as it was inside of the hotel. The pubs around Soldeu were friendly and the beer about the same... More

The slopes are beautiful and are great for all ski or snowboard abilities. Restaurants/cafes on slopes all have great views, a little pricey but not as bad as other resorts.

I've spent 12 different weeks boarding the Grandvalira and will go back again. Where else can you get guaranteed snow, frequent sunshine, a pint for £2.80 or a coffee on the mountain for £1.50? and......great english speaking schools, equipent shops at reasonable prices, well connected ski areas..... I could go on. On the downside if you are super advanced and... More

If you're a decent intermediate I don't think there is anywhere on piste that you couldn't ski, and the whole area is there for you to explore. On the piste map is looks a little daunting in terms of size, but don't worry, you can get all the way to Pas de la Casa in about an hour or so... More

Soldeu is a fantastic ski resort . The ski school has a reputation as being one of the best in Europe with a very high standard of tuition. The slopes are well groomed and the whole Grandvalira ski area is huge with something for everyone. I've skied in other European resorts and the USA but keep returning to Soldeu as... More
