Small old lovely church

One of the oldest building in Andorra. Very good to visit, look and quiet. Located in the old part of the city, very nice place just to walk.

Not too much to say but lovely church, spent few minutes in it. Quiet and very interesting, it was full of people when I was in it so couldn't spend more time.

Having only limited time to see the historic center of Andorra la Vella on my own, Sant Esteve Church was certainly one of the highlights. There are interesting architectural details like plaques and memorials to discover all around. Crossing the bridge toward Placa del Poble the East End of the church will make a gorgeous backdrop for your pictures or... More

CHURCH OF SANT ESTEVE Andorra la Vella ( Andorra la Vella ) The Church of Sant Esteve stands in the old quarter of Andorra la Vella alongside the parliament building.  It is Romanesque in origin (12th century) and was considerably modified in the 20th century. From Romanesque times we are given the semi-circular apse, the largest in the principality and which represented... Well worth a visit. Busy downtown area, but peaceful inside. Very modern stained glass windows which are attractive. Ornate altar. Old part of building added to new. Interesting design. A good place to just be, and be quiet, and catch up with your thoughts.

For the whole day we spent in Andorra, I was being blown away by its stone buildings everywhere, even if it was just hotels. This church was one of my favorites because the whole area around it is like a quiet haven in the otherwise modern city. And it is beautiful.

This very old church is a surprise. Why? Because the inside is much more modern than the outside. The organist was practicing while we were there, which was very nice. There is a plaza behind the church, which affords wonderful views.

The peace and quiet is all as there are few memorials or art works or icons. The church is set in a busy area but manages to ignore this and sets it apart from the Tax Free business which is all Andorra is about in summer

Might as well take a photo or walk the few blocks as there is not much else to see. I would not drive out of my way to see it and definitely not a destination spot.

A small pretty church with a lovely mountain setting. The inside is not much to look at, but the outside is worth it. If you walk on down to the park beyond you'll find some steps that lead you to a sort of elevated walkway that has nice views. In the other direction go across a bridge to the rooftops... More
