I visited Paphos aquarium back in August 2007 and what a disappointment! It wasn't cheap and it was just horrible. The place is run down and it is just so grotty! Half of the tanks are empty and you are left wondering what has happened to the fish. This is the worst aquarium I have ever visited, please do not... more

It cost 8 euro to get in and regretted paying the money almost immediately. The fish looked distressed and most of the tanks that actually had anything in them were far to small for the fish/alligators/turtles contained in them. Have recently moved here and will be warning all tourists off this place. more

After reading some of the reviews on paphos aquarium i felt i had to put something down here as my experience differs hugely to the reviews already written. I went to the aquarium on the 12th september with my 7 year old son, cant remember how much the entrance fee was but it was inexpensive, we had a fantastic afternoon... more

After my visit to the aquarium, I was absolutely distraught at the state of some of the tanks and animals. The tanks were disgustingly dirty, with paint peeling off and what I can only describe as brown gunge covering the insides. The marine life looked in very poor condition, with some of the fish showing signs of distress and neglect.... more

Ive never seen anything like this place it was unbelievable! Everywhere was filthy, the tanks looked like they hadnt been cleaned in god knows how long, the staff were almost asleep in their seats, it was stinking dingy and should have been closed down years ago! And those poor fish and reptiles found decent clean homes where they would at... more

The highlight of this trip was watching an attendant scoop out 2 decomposing lobsters from one of the few occupied tanks. This place really needs sorted out. No air con either. Overall very depressing. more

Conditions in the tanks were awful. Only about half the tanks had anything in them. Fantastic place to go to if you want to see goldfish !!!! Poor fish ! Don't support this place staying open ! more

Although this aquarium is only small, it is a definite stop for people who enjoy looking at fish, either couples or even families. We went as a couple, it took us about an hour to go around and the entrance fee was 3.50 CYP each. There are 72 tanks in total, including one tank with 3 medium size sharks in... more
