Visiting on March most of the shops outside the market were close nevertheless theres a few bargains in the main market for leathers like wallet shoes or bags. People here are honest with prices and I felt comfortable with no ine harassing you to buy.

Had an excellent lunchtime in and around the market. It's a traditional market with lace and leather shops and dotted between are shops of wine spirits cigarettes and tobacco. Not to expensive for a dedicated tourist area.

Paphos is I would have thought a fairly typical Cypriot beach resort, it has two parts to it the old town with its covered market and a mix of old traditional Greece buildings mixed with a number of colonial styles building indicating its varied past rulers over the last few centuries. The main town itself has seen habitation going back... More

....especially if you are looking for the perfect bit of tat to take home as a gift. The market is made up of lots little shops selling the usual t-shirts, hats, fridge magnets and other items the Brits seem to like and buy to take home. But in between these stalls/shops there are shops selling traditional lace, jewellery, food ,... More

The whole market is worth visiting. If you are driving its in the heart of old Paphos, follow the signs to the municipal car parks (there are a number) and its €1 for 4 hours parking. Not bad. The market itself is a warren of small streets. We went on a hot August Saturday which probably could be the worst... More

Lots of little shops and stalls to look at and wander through, good to look out for a bargain and any souvenirs and cheap booze. Craft and art shops, leather and your usual holiday gifts. We stopped here Paphos Old town on the hop on hop off site seeing bus.

The shop seems to be half food and half souvenirs. All seem to be at decent prices and some things we only saw here. Not worth a special journey but if you're in the market find it out
