Went this year again. Every winter they find more of the site. It is vast and I guess more will be found for years to come. The mosiacs are awesome and in great condition. The bigger ones have buildings round them so you can walk over. there are pillars and buildings and the fort is spectacular. Considing the cost its... more

We had a couple of hours to spend before departing for home so stopped at the Roman Mosaics. It's a huge area on the edge of Paphos, still being excavated for new finds. It's status as a World heritage Site obviously attracts funding. The entrance and visitor centre look brand new and it's a well presented attraction. As for the... more

Fantastic Roman excavation, amazing mosaics of incredible beauty and condition. 1. Need som f---ing signposts. It's a large site, and it's no fun wandering around the desert in the 45 degree heat looking for something that might not be there, or missing something because it wasn't signposted. 2. There is a range of mosaics and excellently preserved. Definitely recommend, entrance fee 1.75 euros per person.Large site so do take water and don't go in the heat of the day if you can help it. more

The Mosaics are the best I have seen for a long time all so are the mosaics at the basilica which is a ten minute walk from the harbour for more about the history hace a look at backintimetours .com this is a history site on paphos mosaics. more

The mosaics of Paphos are actually part of a larger archeological site that includes a theatre and a ruined castle. You need a good few hours to make the most of the site, but it is located in Paphos itself, with the entrance in the harbour area. A bus to the harbour will take you there if you are out... more
