Kolios winery is a trip out of Paphos that you should make if you like food, wine and change of scenery. The winery lies above Paphos at around 1000m above sea level just outside a small village - Stato Ayios. Your host Marios Kolios will show you his cellars and the winery whilst explaining his approach to creating some marvellous... More

Went up to the winery for a short visit while out for a drive in the mountains, had a glass of their wine sitting in the restaurant with a spectacular view, peace and tranquility on a hot day. Had a tour of the winery and obviously purchased a couple of bottles of their wine which we have enjoyed many times... More

A lovely drive up from Paphos to this winery along some steep and winding roads. After tasting some of the excellent wines they produce we were given a short but very entertaining and informative tour of the winery and cellars. Then we had lunch. A Meze which was delicious and just kept on coming as we sat in the dining... More

we travelled here for a wine tasting and lunch and were really impressed. We tried a number of the wines before being given a short tour. Lunch was served in a room with amazing views out across the vineyard and surrounding farmland with views for mils across the valley (the winery is at 3000ft above sea level!) The lunch turned... Kolios Winery is one of the biggest producer of Cypriot Wines (Statos 99, Maratheftiko, Persephony, Cornetto and many others). The winery is situated on the road between Chrissorogiatissa Monastery and Statos-Agios Fotios. The people there are very amable and proud to present their wines. You can see the barrels where the wines are stored and the wineyards situated in a... More

The drive up to Kolios and the views from their restaurant were superb. The Wine tasting is fantastic and the food plentiful, authentic and excellent. This is a wonderful family run winery and definitely worth a visit, it was one of the highlights of our trip. Booking is recommended. We went in November and there were a few turned away... More

This must be one of the best of its kind in the Paphos area. It is in a wonderful position, overlooking a beautiful valley. The food is excellent and is served by very good staff and the meze style meal comes out at a leisurely pace. You can choose whichever wine you like and it is all very good. They... More

We first visited Kolios Winery nearly ten years ago just as the paved road was being constructed. Prior to that access was via an unsealed track and locating the winery was much more of an adventure. The winery has developed considerably since we first visited and Marios and his family have worked very hard to develop the business to its... More

I had such a lovely wine at Oliveto restaurant in Paphos that I went in search for a winery where I could purchase some. This winery is an amazing place high up in the mountains of Troodos. All the wines are on display and you can taste them. They have a wonderful area for wine tasting with the most amazing... More

visited the winery in August, quiet while we visited. Short tour of winery and quick tasting but meze was out of this world, so much food, views superb. Purchased white medium dry Persefoni and Medium Rose approx 1 euro cheapier than supermarkets. Would highly recommend this winery
