We had a choice of a few wines, a shaps and port to try with a choice of either dry or sweet wine and snacks. There was also a display of how wine used to be made, a local house and a gift shop with the wine on offer to taste for sale. Lovely locally grown wine on offer.

This little winery is worth a visit if you are staying locally. I'm not too sure I would wish to travel any real distance to visit. We were well looked after and the tastes of wine were good but they were only a little sip of each

Sterna Winery is located in Kathikas village, being the best thing to see in the area. The place itself looks more like a souvenir shop, with many things to buy, unrelated to wines (like soaps, fridge magnets and pens). You can see a small cellar where some 10 years old Maratheftiko bottles are kept inside, a so-called museum (just some... More

Free entry but not what I would call a museum that explains how wine is made . In France wineries we have visited a guide has taken you round and explained the process. Not here just one room with static displays. It was good from the opportunity to taste the wine but you did feel under pressure to buy some.

We were also tricked by the orange juice "offer" for the children then charged €4 each. Wine tasting is okay but you feel obliged to buy a bottle (overpriced: €10 a bottle) The place as little to do with a museum, this is more like a tourist trap.

We enjoyed tasting the local wines made here. The host was funny and engaging and we were made to feel welcome. We bought 3 bottles of wine and a bottle of their port that we enjoyed.

we went there to visit a small local winery and found only tourist industry . the museum is made for stupid people not to show any king of wine history, in the shop you can find mostly souvenirs that have nothing to do with wines and their bottles and more expensive there that they are in a supermarket. the tasting... The worst winery visit we have ever been to. Museum was a waste of time. Just a gimmick to get tourists in. The wine tasting was OK, but asked if children 2 wanted orange juice while we were tasting, then charged us 8€ for them! Brought a bottle of port after tasting. Got back and it was only a 50th... Personally I'd just scrap the wine museum and expand the tasting area because that show casing the charming people of this winery and you could use the lovely verandah, but hey maybe some people like paper mâché cows. The wines just seem to be paired as a dry and a sweet version of the same thing. Mostly average tasting except... More
