This is a real asset but underplayed by the authorities. Difficult to find and then very little information when there. Couldn't even get through the gate since locked and no staff around.

This is an open air amphitheatre situated at the top of Tala village just outside of Paphos. There are regular shows during the summer months including music and theatre. If you do nothing but visit for a photo opportunity you will not be disappointed. When you have taken your pictures drop down into the quaint village for lunch.

Surprisingly enough, this ancient amphitheatre is not all that easy to find, especially without a map. Even then, the map I had placed it above the nearby St Solomon's Catacomb, in relation to the harbour and castle, whereas it is actually just below the Catacomb. It is located on a side street off the B20 road leading from the harbour... More

Visited on an organised coach trip, with courier who explained everything. Again, another incredible historical site, amazingly excavated and preserved.

If you are in to your ancient history this is a must and cheap to get in 4.5 eu the whole site is well laid out also do the tomb of the Kings close by. DO not go in the heat of a HOT HOT day you will bake

Well, I am talking about the Hellenistic Roman Theatre within the Paphos Archaeological site, - not the modern one by the harbour. Spent 40 minutes trudging around the area with an official map and failed to find it!! We spoke to a few locals and they did not know it either. Better signposting should a priority for the Department of... More

We still thoroughly enjoy the ancient Greek & Roman ruins in the area especialy the "new digs", the mosaics are out of this world, the colours are so suprisingly strong unlike some of the ones we see in England. Sitting on a seat near the lighthouse is one of the best views of the sea
