Tamassos is an area with a cluster of villages approx. half an hour drive from Nicosia. A tiny, yet interesting archaeological site. Visitors can see some remains from the temple of Aphrodite and two underground tombs. There are stairs one must descend to reach the tomb chamber, so a wheelchair user can only look at the tomb entrance at ground level. The site is in Politiko village, and the ticket costs 1.70 euros.
