This village is situated in one of the wine areas of Cyprus. It well known to the locals because of the church which has part of the holy cross. Very nice to walk around in the old stone roads and a must to buy the fresh traditional sweet bread they make , which is popular from this village. I regularly... More

A truly lovely village with typical and authentic Cypriot houses, nice taverns and coffee shops. Worth a walk along the narrow streets with white painted walls and pretty little yards. You get a chance to taste some local sweets and enjoy a cup of Cyprus coffee.

I have been here many times and always take my house guests as it is just how visitors all Cypriot villages to be, pretty, quaint with white stonewashed buildings and a smattering of tourist outlets.

As mentioned above. A visit does not really contribute to more understanding of the Agricultural traditions. Village consists mostly of similar shops.

With friends stopped off here for a walk round and some lunch in one of the various restaurants in the village. We were on our way to the Troodos mountains and this place broke up the journey. Lots of lace shops and the impression was of a tourist stop off point for many bus trips from the coastal towns. While... More

This place is full of history and beauty and at the same time spirituality. Here you can do a tasting of traditional Cypriot wines, to buy traditional hande made souvenirs and visit the ancient holy temple. You will never forget a trip into this place.

We were told this was a beautiful mountain village. Having visited some really breathtaking mountain villages in Andalucia, Spain I was really disappointed on reaching Omodos. It's not especially picturesque. All the shops sell the same thing - tablecloths mainly and none of the restaurants were particularly appealing. It made a change from beach and pool but I wouldn't say... More
