A gem of a village with cobbled village square, central monastery with fine church, pedestrian-only 'streets' and fine old stone houses....all set in the main wine-growing area with wineries (and free tasting) in all directions. Not surprisingly a bit touristy now but well worth a visit and quiet in the evenings.

Nice place but not much to do, restaurants were plentiful but quality of food was mixed. Beautiful views to surrounding area and a few nice places to visit within. A couple fo hours is more than enough

We stopped off here for a few hours on the way back to Paphos from Platres. There is a large free car park with public toilets, although this wasn't sign posted. There are lots of little shops including, a monastery with various relics and reliquaries on display and a large town square lined with tavernas. I wouldn't recommend "Socrates House"... More

We initially visited the village back in 2011 on the 14th of September when the funfair of St. Stavrou (the protector of the village) and it is quite the picturesque, scenic place to be at that time of the year and we do every year since then. The Village is amazingly interesting, with the church in the middle of the... More

Beautiful village on the hills of the Trodos mountains. Nice restaurants, cafés, stores with handmade linen, bakery and stores with local products. Picked up a bottle of organic extra virgin olive oil that is excellent. All the locals were friendly and laid back.

Omodos is beautiful and the rather sickly long windy drive does give a great view but when you arrive some of the shops have ridiculous prices, I asked one if their decimal point was in the wrong place! All the restaurants were disappointing which might be while even at lunchtime no one else was eating just drinking! Really bad food,... More

A fabulous typical Cypriot village nestled in the hills. Lots of cafes/restaurants and shops selling jewellery and local goods. We visit here every time and just love the quirkieness of everything. Great place.

Lovely little cobbled village! Me and my husband came to have a wonder around after seeing the review's on tripadvisor. I love quaint little places like this, so it was right up my street. There a few little shops selling jewellery, lace, food and art, and a lovely square with cafes so you can sit and people watch or have... More
