Omodos is a relatively small village on the mountains, near Limassol. It has narrow pathways where you can walk and admire the small stone-built cottages and enjoy the local products sold by traditional stores. There are various taverns where you can enjoy the local, traditional cuisine and drink zivania or cypriot wines. The few residents are very hospitable and keen... More

When traveling around Cyprus, we tend to avoid the more touristy places and go for the more authentic villages. However, Omodos is definitely worth a stop and a couple of hours of roaming. There is convenient free parking at the center of the village. The village center has been restored, with lots of nice narrow alleys and pretty shops. Not... More

A calm charming village with narrow alleys where you will surely notice the great architecture of the houses and the alleys. You will surely enjoy the walk between the different shops (for souvenirs, handmade items, traditional foods) and the restaurants and Taverns that are available on both sides of the alleys.

Already the road from the highway to Omodos winding through a beautiful hilly landscape of wineyards is worth the drive. The village itself is lovely with its narrow streets, stone houses and shops selling traditional handmade local products: wine, alcohol, sweets, laces, etc. If you're looking for The Traditional Cyprus village, visit Omodos. However, unfortunately, there is a lot of... More

Old buildings were renovated in the traditional style and on the way to the monastery as well as around it you find all kind of cheap stuff for tourists but also some highlights. One of them is Dempsi Glass which has extravagant glass with vibrant colors. There is also a small shop with dried herbs besides the olive products. Last... More
