The prettiest village on Cyprus, well worth a visit, the cobbled main street and square are beautiful, a bit touristy in places however still has the charm of small streets to explore. We found eating at Katoi restaurant was such a great experience we went back 2 days later to eat again.

If you find that the tourist areas of Cyprus have become far too commercialised then please hire a car, go for a drive up towards Troodos and look for the village of Omodos. My heart almost exploded when I was taken here by my friends who live in Cyprus. This is how I remember Cyprus when I was little. Absolutely... More

On your way to Trodos Mountains this is a good stop-over to visit the local monastery; have some traditional lunch in a local tavern and by some local sweets from one of the small shops. It’s quite a picturesque place.

Liked the small exclusive shops and the local feel of the village. Disliked the toilet on the roof of the cafe we visited, yes, literally on the roof up a scary flight of steps!

If you've seen a Cypriot town, than this one will be no different. Not too far from the main road so if you have time to kill....

In the heart of the Troudos Mountains, this village is small, unspoilt, geared up for tourists but not too over the top. Well worth a visit.

An interesting stop in the mountains and a good place to taste some wine. Has some charm for sure but couldn't help but feel that it was a engineered setup on top of an original charming village. Worth a visit if driving along the hills though and a good stop for lunch. But I'd say you don't have to visit... More

It is a lovely drive, with spectacular views, from Paphos to Omodos. Just to wander through the old village streets is enchanting. Even though many of them have been tidied up recently they are so still and atmospheric. We invariably end up at the Walnut Tree restaurant - Themistokli's Tavern - in the middle of the village, where we have... More

Loved the monastery. Enjoyed strolling around the cobbled streets and alleyways. Coffee in the square watching the locals play backgammon was interesting. Overall a lovely old Cypriot village which has become a bit too touristy now.
