The Limassol promenade is either closed for repairs or not yet open. There are also a lot of roadworks going on in the centre of Limassol and from what i saw, is not much to write home about, or bother going at all, even for the 2 euros bus cost. More

The promenade is a lovely area to walk along or sit at one of the pavement cafe s. It resembles Palma de Mallorca but without the Cathedral . Some building works are taking place but the area is wide and long so it does not interfere with ones enjoyment of the promenade . More

The Limassol promenade is the start/finish place of the Limassol Marathon, the only official marathon of Cyprus. This event is held in March. If you want to relax and admire the sea, this is the place. Paid public parking places are available along the sidewalks. More

When they finish the stretch along to :Limassol Marina, the promenade will be the best ever. Sculptures, musical events, snack-sellers, promenaders. Great for people-watching. Limassol Bay out there and its shipping, yachting. More

You can follow the coast right from the old port to the tourist area at Germasoia. A pleasant walk it is, too. More

Some of the promenade area is being renovated, so there is building work at one end. However the rest of it is great for families to walk by the sea, especially on summer evenings. More
