There is not much of a beach but the local restaurant has well managed gardens and a strip of sandy beach. The remainder of the area can be rocky with some isolated coves. A great place for a meal but as a beach it is not much to write home about.

Nice to walk along the water's edge away from traffic. Good changing views of sea between mill pond like one day and surfing waves another day! Not a typical sandy beach though.

There aren't many camp sites in Cyprus but this one is acceptable price and standard-wise. If you're a keen camper, don't go there expecting facilities like you'd find in the majority of UK camp sites. The showers and toilet blocks are cleaned daily and are acceptable and adequate. However, when you can wander down to the glorious beach and sea... More

Governors beach is a gem. It is a bit far from Limassol , 15 - 20 minute drive , with 3 or 4 places that you can eat and bath with convenience. Sea is not the best in the island but the atmosphere and food more than compensate for that. I always visit Sofroniou beach restaurant because I find the... More

Bit of a climb down and up but well worth the effort. Lovely, secluded area with warm, crystal-clear water.

Yes you can get nice food but was very disappointed with the area. Its a long drive from paphos when there are much nicer beaches nearer.

Had a great meal at the restaurant here. Beach is almost nothing. Not sure why the governor would have suned himself here.

For many years I have been on holiday to Cyprus and when going for a day out by the sea, always go to Governor's beach and Sofronious Restaurant. It's a little out the way but well worth it. Free parking, free sun loungers and umbrellas on the grassed area just above the beach, as long as you eat at their... More

We had heard a lot about thus beach but wonder why. There are other better beaches to visit. Try aphrodites beach which is about 20ks away.
